Perhaps SteemItBoard Could Create a Welcome Wagon Program

@SteemItBoard is a fun project that sends awards to users as their accounts progress.

Their @SteemItBoard project sends out thousand of comments each day. It appears that their account is affected by the same resource constraints as the rest of us.

I like the both the rewards and the SteemItBoard.com website which shows total vote count and comment counts.

SteemItBoard is asking that people either donate STEEM or delegate STEEM POWER so that they can continue sending out their awards.

The Resource Restrictions are meant to limit spam.

While I personally like the SteemItBoard awards, some people consider any bot generated comment as spam.

So, I was thinking about this problem last night.

I want to find ways to increase person to person interaction on this site.

Then I thought, it would be fun to get the awards from other people.

SteemItBoard could accomplish this by creating a Welcome Wagon Program.

The Welcome Wagon could work as follows:

Steemians who are interested in meeting other people could log into SteemItBoard.com using SteemIt's oauth protocol.

SteemItBoard.com would show a list of people who are up for rewards. The user would click the name of an interesting sounding account and deliver the award in person for SteemItBoard.

To do this SteemItBoard.com would simply generate a default message with the award picture. The Steemian who is delivering the award could read a few of the post on the recipient's blog then, add some personalized text and send the award using the deliverer's resource credits.

This program would replace a bot generated posts with a human generated posts. The welcome wagon would be a fun activity for Steemians who like to meet new Steemians.

It is likely that the Welcome Wagon would only send a fraction of the awards with SteemItBoard sending the rest.

But the Welcome Wagon would be a fun way to reduce the ratio of bot-generated posts to human posts while providing avenue for people to meet other people.

The dangers of a Welcome Wagon program is that some people might abuse it. It is also possible that there aren't people interested in being part of a welcome wagon

BTW the hardest part of the the program I mentioned in analyzing the blockchain. Apparently SteemItBoard is doing the hard work because the program sends out rewards.

I hand coded a Little Red Wagon in SVG. I then violated both the letter and spirit of the copyright law and pilfered images from SteemItBoard.com to put in the wagon. I thought about putting the SteemIt logo in the center balloon, but the ToS says I have to write to get permission to use the logo.
