Why SteemWhales isn't functioning any more?

Most of us Steemians love to sneak into SteemWhales for comparing our own standing on this platform with others. It's a beautiful & very interesting tool to tell us about anyone's ranking on several parameters e.g. w.r.t estimated value of Steemit account, total post counts, reputation, VP, no. of followers, no. of people being followed, posting, curation etc.

For some time, I was using it almost every day to check my reputation score and my ranking in terms of that and my ranking with respect to my Steem Power. As I had set my personal goals for this month, these stats used to help me visualize where do I stand after my day's Steeming on. And even if my Reputation Score & SP is increasing, I can check whether I'm really climbing up the ladder in ranking or slipping down? So this tool also helps in making a reasonable prediction or choosing a realistic target according to your daily performance. So this tool soon became one of my favourites.

But for last 3-4 days, I was stuck where I was. Initially, I was little surprised as I wasn't moving an inch from my already acquired position despite of all my efforts here. But later I discovered that all my figures were not being updated on this website since 22nd July, 2017. And I was not alone. None of the figures were being updated anymore. Although website is live and fully functional, none of its figures are changing or being updated since then.

So I moved to SteemNow to check my Reputation Score and I was happy to note that here I get my rep. score up to 3 decimal places whereas SteemWhales used to show it for only one decimal place. But I was surprised to note that my VP figures were different on all the three websites I checked viz. SteemD, SteemDB and SteemNow. The lowest figure was given by SteemDB that means it was slowest in updating the data. So I concluded that SteemNow was quickest to upload the most recent figures and then SteemD came very close to it. However SteemD's node maintenance is in progress for some days and a notice is being displayed that some features are missing due to that. Possibly, it may be adversely impacting its speed too to some extent. So I can discount that. As it displays almost the same VP as SteemNow. Only it needs to be refreshed again and again whereas SteemNow auto-refreshes its figures as they change. So I discovered a good tool in SteemNow due to non-working of StemWhales.

But the question still remains why it's taking so long to resolve this issue. Despite it being fourth day, I don't see anyone complaining about it. I even checked its creator @heimindanger's blog to see any notice regarding this issue but didn't find anything there! Is it only me who is facing such a problem? I'm still wondering.

So is there anyone who too is facing the same issue???

UPDATE (26th July, 2017):
Today I noted that SteemWhales have almost started working again with most of the current figures updated to as they were some 6 to 8 hours ago (not exactly current). However figures for "Follower" & "Following" are still as they were 4 days back. And the history between 22/07.2017 & today has also not got updated yet.

But these updates I noticed is only for my own account. It may not be for everyone. I'm little fortunate in this case as the account for SteemWhale's creator @heimindanger too is not yet updated for four days. At the launch of this website last year, he had informed that all the data on it is updated every hour. Hopefully, it will catch up soon!
