RE: 😎 How to get Steemit NOTIFICATIONS!!!! (comment/upvote/reply)

I did check out the app but after listening to John McAfee talk about crypto security. He mentioned that a cell phone was not secure because it wasn't designed to be a crypto wallet or to handle anything crypto. Here's the video I was talking about. I would think twice about using esteem because it's mobile. You really do have to be paranoid when it comes to crypto and/or security for that matter.

Thanks. I'll check this out. I use turbo vpn on my tablet. Would that make a differnce in security or no?

I wouldn't trust it lol

I listened to McAfee's video but still dont understand. It seems to me like he's talking about key loggers etc which you can be infected with by going to particular sites. So what would it matter whether you were accessing steemit through an app or through a browser? They'd still get your keys (screen snapshot) if infected..?

I use an app called pure vpn (free on google play store) on my tablet which is not connected to my printer..refridgerator..etc and i dont visit porn sites. I never trusted password managers but according to Forbes is good to use. https://www.forbes.com/sites/amadoudiallo/2014/08/06/three-ways-to-protect-yourself-from-hackers/#7d81a59e45bb

Plus I use Lookout mobile security (again free on google play) which I would hope would stop any attempted hack. Idk. I dont quite understand it all personally.

I think what he's talking about in that video is the lack of security on those devices as compared to a pc. Ultimately I think you'd want to have a pc behind a hardware firewall with security software and have the whole thing encrypted.

Oh. Well I only use my tablet anymore.
