The recent spike in price and volume for Steem reminds all Steemians, this commodity has market potential.
The recent spike in the price and trading volume of Steem peaked of $2.15 USD on Coinmarketcap. The reasons for the sudden increase are unknown, at this point. The price is cooling, at the moment, to more stable levels.
This price surge provokes thought - right now, you, fellow Steemian, may only be earning a few dollars here and there worth of Steem. But what if those Steem dollars increase in value, just as they did today? This can turn into a significant investment!
Keep working on producing content and who knows, one day, you may have Steemit to thank for some significant earnings!
Great point. I am thoroughly convinced that 1000 SP in an account will be worth a lot of money down the road. STEEM is going to be one of the tokens that takes off over the next 12-18 months.
This blockchain has a lot going for it....we will see it become one of the leading chains.
I look at Steem now as a fun hobby where I get to share what I've learned in a positive environment. It's such a nice change from reading negativity and incessant arguing on Facebook, for example. The fact that I get a little bit of financial reward, which may some day be a significant value, is a bonus. But it is encouraging when you see the price hop up like it did today.
