Hi worstdevever
I'm happy for your success on steemit
I hope that buying a new powerful computer will help you in your work.
Good luck

Thank you so much for the kind words. I am sure it will help propel my work to new heights.

nice post man. Cool infographics. One remark "vote as early as possible" , i thought the best time to vote is between 15 and 30 min , can someone clarify?

I think it really depends on how well a particular post is doing. If at 0-5 mins. it has already caught a decent number of upvotes and it looks like it's going to trend, then read it as fast as you can and vote away on that one... quickly. On the other hand, even if a post looks like it's going nowhere after 15-30 mins., it doesn't mean that it doesn't deserve a good look. Do what good curators do; look at everything, but only upvote the good stuff!

Thanks @yonuts .. hmm.. I got the info from the website. I would also like to know and can change it if we get clarification.

good remark. It is interesting to know.

               static const uint64_t  vote_curve_window_sec  = (60*30); // 30 minutes;
               static const uint64_t  vote_curve_window_sec2 = vote_curve_window_sec * vote_curve_window_sec; // 30 minutes;
               auto delta_t = std::min( uint64_t((cv.last_update - comment.created).to_seconds()), vote_curve_window_sec );
               w *= delta_t;
               w *= delta_t;
               w /= vote_curve_window_sec2;
               cv.weight = static_cast<uint64_t>(w);

maximum profit in 30 minutes-time post

Can someone eli5?

protection from voting bot in the code steem

Oh ok. Thanks.

It says anyone with an internet connection can mine but don't you need a powerful graphics card or even a few?

Yes you need a graphics card to two or a hundred to make it profitable. But anyone can mine and help secure the network altruistically even with an android phone as far as I am aware.

Great post! Very clear.

Remember that market making rewards for liquidity will be stopped after 26th july hardfork update! https://github.com/steemit/steem/issues/178

Oh, I was not aware of this.

why is this post only at 16usd?
this is crazy, these crap posts getting 15K usd, and this one getting nothing...

It'll improve as more of us get steem power. No reason to really care HOW MUCH people make. If they start voting after getting steem power it'll start spreading it around. ANYTIME someone makes money it benefits us all in the long run. However, I do agree that the posts that DO get the tons of up votes make the trending view pretty much useless at this point. I'll be curious to see what that view looks like after the fork on Tuesday.

Thanks man.. Yeah I worked hard on it.. But as long as a few people see it and get some value from it I am happy with that.

Wow! This was a very helpful post! Thank you for your hard work!!
