@twinner @Lizanomadsoul, @manncpt, @beers: A fundamental proof of community on steemit
I noticed something very special on steemit yesterday. Something that should make us all aware of what one of the core values of steemit could be. In a chain of events @twinner @beers @Lizanomadsoul and @manncpt (I will call them THE SOCIAL ARCHITECTS) empowered another user @jnmarteau by transferring substantial steemitpower to @jnmarteau. By doing so the social architects responded to a need of an individual but also to a need of the steemit platform in general! Its a realtime response to an individual need, but also to the entire community. By doing so they are socialy architecting this community.
This is fundamental.
I believe that one of the major qualities to achieve in any platform is its capacity to react to needs of an individual and to the needs of the structure of the platform we operate on. I call it resilience, the capacity to deal with challenges constructively, without losing hope or health.
In this specific case of @beers transfering steemitpower to @jnmarteau both challenges were addressed. @jnmarteau needed steemitpower inorder to overcome his challenge to continue contributing on steemit. @jnmarteaus challenge how ever arose from a challenge the community is facing in general, a limitation of posting opportunity. By distributing wealth (in terms of steemitpower) privilege was shared. I cant stress how important this process is in the establishment of a healthy community. Because it involves two factors:
- Sensitivity and empathy of the community towards its members (understanding when someone is in need)
- Generosity and readiness to share privilege (in essence overcoming greed and unhealthy – there is also healthy – egoism.
I will post on this subject as I find it substantial for the development of this platform. I will also try and read if people have already posted on this subject. For now thank you to @twinner @beers, @Lizanomadsoul, @manncpt.

very nice to have meet you here thanks to @jnmarteau posts :) love "social architects" choice of words , there are so many delegating power to make this platform evolve to have a better social impact , I am confident that you have learned about some of them from jane but still I am telling you there is the abundance minset movement , the gift economy and sharing resources movement , the creative commons and so many more ... now the natural progression is to unite forces and help each other.
I am an over optimistic naive small artist and I allow myself to think I can change the world some days, but maybe , just maybe it is possible :D
