Steemit has made this place almost impossible to use.
Trying to power down, asks for my Private Active or Owner Key - fine, I have both of those in the PDF supplied when this whole password thing changed months ago.
But it keeps giving me this:
Unable to power down (ERROR: Transaction broadcast error.)
So WTF???
try again tomorrow :P
this error has been around from the start.
Have you tried the master password?

Im used to power down all the time with no problem =\
You can try at steempeak or another steem interface?
