Holy Sh*t Looks Like YouTube's Gone Steemit

YouTube Has Set Up A Moderation Program

And It Allows Mass Flagging

So it's not exactly like steemit yet, their viewers aren't being paid, however they have now set up a moderation program for the viewers to flag videos.

So looks like YouTube has set up a new moderator program. How YouTube has been going with the false copyright claims being enforced I truly don't see this as helping their community, I see it being abused. Steemit has built the community up so far around the idea that good moderation is key and so far I think we have achieved a decent little society here.

YouTube censorship hasn't been the best lately either, feel free to check out the Phillip Defranco video's down below, the first is today's with the new moderation changes while the second is actually yesterday's video where he talks about another YouTube creator.

I'd like to quickly talk about that video as well. In that one he mentions a female content creator who has had the opportunity to interview real world political figures. In the video she is actually told not to ask the questions she is asking, like Phil says, at the very least it's an attempt to stifle good honest journalism, and at the very worst it's a direct threat to her career.

Just A Tad Messed Up.

As currently implemented, flagging is probably one of the worst features on steemit currently. Utube, setting up a round about method to sensor unpopular ideas.

It seems like it can be a very easy source of abuse, especially with how simple it is to create both extra and extra anon accounts and use it.

Although at least here it has a tie in to reputation, which doesn't mean too much since it's still all based off an opinion.

awesome!

Youtube has always had flagging! that is nothing new.

It's a new "hero program" they've set up. Sounds like steemit but with a community that's been thriving on drama and bullshit lately, I don't know if it's the right addition at the right time.

I agree, I'm really tired of the drama everywhere. Yet it seems that drama has good profits for youtubers. People seem to love it. I can't stand it.
