RE: STOP PLAGIARISM ON STEEMIT - ONE STEP SOLUTION TO IDENTIFY COPIED IMAGES

in #steemit7 years ago

I have a question.
I keep seeing a user who posts a youtube video, sometimes with no description but often with a sentence or two. But it is not their youtube video. They don't SAY it's theirs but they also don't say who the channel who made the video is either. I question this tactic? Is it cool because now this channel is getting additional views or is it stealing because they are earning steem/money from someone elses hard work? It seems like it could go either way?

Thanks for your comment @wholesomeroots If the videos are from multiple channels that means they are simply posting videos on steemit for the sole purpose of earning off them. Once or twice is even acceptable but if it is the only thing that they do then it must be reported to @steemcleaners This falls under plagiarism.

I was hoping you wouldn't say that as I suspected as much.

i flagged the posts that are other people videos. it's the only thing he does post!? sometimes he writes something about it but mostly not. will flagging get him to fix the issue?
