Yes, $0 is possible.
At this point, it is not likely.
Banks creating their own cryptocurrency does not warrant a $0 Bitcoin.
People may not trust banks as much as a blockchain unhacked for 8 years now.

I do agree with you but suppose if it happens for once then the Damage would have been done.
There will be high panic and this may erode the trust suddenly.
