The use many of bots on steemit for downvote - it legally?

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

I found the bots nextgen11, nextgen12, nextgen13, nextgen16 . Here's the evidence -  vote all boats equally. How many of them can be?

 nextgen11  on   steemd.com   https://steemd.com/@nextgen11

 nextgen12 on   steemd.com   https://steemd.com/@nextgen12

 nextgen13 on   steemd.com   https://steemd.com/@nextgen13

 nextgen16 on   steemd.com   https://steemd.com/@nextgen16

 WTF and what to do?

I think maybe your problem is that you're posting articles that have been written by someone else, but you're not citing your source.

For example:
http://bgr.com/2016/09/05/spacex-falcon-9-explosion-not-saying-it-was-aliens/
I found that same article on your page too.

I would suggest you write your own articles. That way, you'll gain a better, more stable following for work you do.

Good Luck :)

here we are talking about the fact that many people use bots to increase the number apvote than cheating community

you want to say when I will comply with all requirements, then no one can downvote me without a cause?

No, someone could still downvote you for any reason. There are abusive flaggers. But you will find others like myself that will be willing to upvote you if your posts if you do get flagged unfairly and it affects your reputation. Most of us will not upvote content that is considered "abuse" and detrimental to steemit and the community.

They are mining accounts, you can see this in steemd. Miners mine Steem Power (they did with similar account names), but that Steem Power (aka voting power) is stuck in those accounts for 2 years. Bot would be the only way to use their full voting power. Nothing really wrong here; they are just voting all of their SP.

Remember, voting power is based on amount of steem power, not merely number of votes.

A quick brush through the terms of service didn't reveal to me any rules against using bots for this purpose. I don't think it is "illegal" on this platform but it may be unethical, for what reasons do you think this is a problem for the community?

I do not think it's good for the community. Do you think that if someone will use 1000 bots to their posts it will be good?

On steemit, all things are legal, including plagarisim and downvoting.

plagarisim is illegal and for that you can get a lot downvoting.

Yeah, someone may get away with it for a moment and get a payout, but in time it will not help.
