It pays only to early adopters or investors who hold more steempower by pouring more money into this platform. The real content creater who brings value to steemit getting in cents while few making millions out of their hard work and creativity.
But how does that make it a scam? Its not a place where you join and make millions immediately. If thats the reason you joined then i can understand your annoyance with Steemit. But in the end, steemit is a community like reddit in which you can share your ideas, get help on questions and issues you have and just share your experiences. I think joining steemit for only money will make you unhappy, you should join for the community!
And in the end, even if you get only 3 cents for a post, you still make more than you would on instagram or facebook, yet people there still post blogs.
Facebook is for connecting your friends and family and Twitter is just micro blogging site. They are not the place where person writes by burning his heart out. You spend so much time here to create articles and end of the day you get nothing out of your hard work. It is not deentralize, it is owned by handful of people.people who have desire to write something meaningful will come here. It will not attract whole bunch of Facebook people just because they can get few cents by spending hours to write an article. People are here only for money.believe it or not community word is only pseudo belief to gain more attention.
You're right. It's not decentralized for sure. It's controlled by the whales on here. Wonder why it takes 3 months to power down? So if the whales dump you can't get out in time and stuck. Here's one of my blogs that got flagged and hidden from public view by Dan. He's the core developer for Steemit, Bitshares, and now EOS.
But then why are you still part of the community? As you obviously have realised it brings no money so why spend your time writing on here? And why is money the only thing to "get something" out of your hardwork? The writing skills you develop, the research you conduct, the articles you read are all beneficial for personal development. I agree that many people do join for the money and many will never get it, but i dont think its the only reason people can join for, i definitely didnt.
I am here to make money by publishing my contents.thats I believe everyone does here. It's coin , it's money it's economy, not a social giveaway. Isn't it shows your pseudo liberalism by saying I am here for community. If you think you are writing your articles for community then why don't you write it somewhere else where you can get more wider audience ex: Facebook , Twitter or reddit compare to only a fraction of those giants. your articles will bring more benefit there not here but you are still writing here because you can make some bucks here. That's what I thought also. But I am being honest with that. Everyone has monetary reward consciousness in mind before posting any article. Without monetary reward this community is a piece of empty coding algorithm.

That's a valid point.
