I've been on Steemit for 6 months now and I have learned a few things that might help some minnows find their way. Hope this helps you minnows navigate the Steemit seas.

1. Have Patience

Growing an account on Steemit isn't like Instagram. It takes more than a few provocative pictures. Put up good, quality content and engage with other people and you'll grow.

2. Don't Focus On The Money

When you are only here for the money, then you will not grow as fast as you could if you were here to be party of a growing crypto community.

3. Respond To All Your Replies

Whenever you make a post, do your best to respond to everyone that replies. Always try to upvote your supporters.

4. Understand The Payouts

It takes a little time to understand the payouts and how to convert to Steem Power or withdrawal SBD to another account. Learn it and you will be able to grow your account faster by buying the dips.

5. Be Consistent

The more consistent you are the better the results. Simple as that.

6. Learn How To Format

Even basic formatting can help your audience read your posts better. The better you get the more professional your posts will look.

7. The Picture Is Key

When you are creating your blog, think about the picture to use and pick something that will grab people's attention. Also make sure you credit the source.

8. Leave Some To The Imagination

When you are writing your headline and lead sentence, make sure that you do not give away the entire point of your blog. Leave some to the imagination and get people to click and read.

9.  Follow Freely

This isn't Twitter where the fewer people you follow, the cooler you look. Get out and follow some of the great people on here and don't be shy.

10. Be Yourself

Steemit is a unique community and the blogging format helps us all be a little more honest about ourselves. This isn't Facebook, you can be honest.
