RE: Steemit Update [January 26th, 2025] : Steemit Learning Challenge - Applications Invited for Season 23

in #steemit8 months ago

This is not about trying out something new or about lack of trust but about my worries about this panic attack and kicking out the group this platform needs most, the creative ones, the artists/writers. They bring life, joy, fun and we know what will happen if they don't leave, where they rather post and will not be harasshed which proves they don't care about the (boosting) votes.

A try out is not done within one month and there should be people to brainwash all those Steemians again. People with influence and who understand the problem, (ask) why people feel the need to use AI or commit plagiarism. If you know the reasons you know what could be changed.

@kafio how about the option of a poll?

Why not start a poll or answer questions?

Can we have that option back?
Why blame platform users drilled, many were forced and reprimanded myself included, to give up on their niche, to write and post in a certain way? It's why a group left plus the lack of interaction and of those who stayed and tried to fit in many lost themselves which is even worse.
It will take time 3- 6 months to find a niche again and dare to show it.
That's what I see if I talk with people... apologizes, tiptoeing, afraid to express themselves.

Of course, we can say the communities and hosts did it but those "rules" were announced and big rewards were promised to those not colouring outside the lines!

All those weekly contests and entries in 2024 about how "good content" should look like.

Sorry, but even if these were not explicit the words of the Steemit Team and twisted these communities are supported, they receive boosting-vote-right with the result more of the same is posted.

I agree with @inspiracion and said it a year before and keep repeating it like a scratched record but honestly it will not change if the support continues and those who can make a difference stick to the rules they believe in or made up.

@the-gorilla notices the same with the newcomers community it's all the same and those communities with a better, creative, more personal vibe are not even 7 5.

I agree with you that the idea around the use of AI is distorted but I disagree that old fashioned writing will disappear and needs AI to give a hand except if it comes to a device to type with and post it on Steemit.

Who loves to write writes, who feels the urge will write because it's a lifestyle, something artists do just like breathing and it's more important than eating. The same counts for art. You work with wood and stone, clay, paint to feel the material with your hands and see the development and the result? Itcan be different from what one had in mind.

Another art is created by testing out tools where the result is more interesting because of the interpretation of that tool (AI) or its {lack of) capacity.

I leave it here it took me 1 hour to type

Hi, dear

I disagree that old fashioned writing will disappear and needs AI.

In no way do I think or want the act of writing, from my humanity, to disappear.
On the contrary, we will become the wise, the knowledgeable, the enlightened, just by knowing how to express our thoughts through writing.

As you say, it is an art.

The idea of a poll sounds interesting.
And it is even possible to integrate it into a map (Steem Atlas) and collect the results in a CSV for processing.

Here's an idea, it's a matter of creating the relevant questions.

CC @kafio

That looks great and it can be implemented in posts as well.

Let's see what @kafio says or is there anyone else who can give a hand?

cc @pennsif

There’s nothing impossible with code. I was just accepted as a club mentor for development and technology. I will encourage people to create projects related to Steemit. It's not hard to make a poll or voting bot, and if someone needs help, I’m here to help , that is my job as a club mentor

Congratulations! Who knows before the months is over you have a job.

BTW Steemit always had the option of polls. I joined them more than once. It was a separate site where you could answer polls but also start one and if you started one it also appeared in your blog.
