STEEMIT IS ALMOST READY TO BE PRESENTED LIVE ON TV

in #steemit6 years ago

Hello everyone,

MERRY CHRISTMAS !

In between work, Christmas activities and family visiting , I slowly reworked my initial charting for Steemit

This is the initial chart I work through with all my products when getting them ready to present on TV. It is part one of a three part process in preparing a product to be presented.

I use this chart as a personal refresher when going on live TV , especially if the product took a 30 day break and I need to cram all those facts back in the gray matter between my IFB adorned ears!

An IFB gives my producer and director the opportunity to talk into my ear while I am presenting. They may say, " move left or move right or we are set for you to walk over to a different area".

I do not work from a Teleprompter. All the facts have been memorized and are in my head. Then I deliver them naturally and organically as the demonstration progresses.

I am giving Steem the same treatment I give the national brand products that I represent to the TV family of nearly 100 million and when I have hosted product driven web based shows.

Based on valuable peer Steemian input I tweaked the chart to be more concise and understandable.

This is REVISION 1. The first change to the original.

Everyone's input thus far was rich and meaty, bringing much clarity so that I and others can acquire knowledge about Steemit.

Question : Knowing this document can only be one page and can highlight a limited amount of features, have I curated the top features and briefly but effectively detailed them to help buyers make a positive opt in decision? ( gain knowledge about Steem and join)

Thank you veteran Steemians for your support and encouragement to the new Steemian!

Hey, nice work! You're the expert on the format for what you're trying to do so I don't have much to say on your chart but I thought I'd add a couple things to consider.

First, I would point out that there are basically 3 "currencies" with Steem.
Steem = the underlying currency that is paid out in the rewards system and can be traded on exchanges.
SBD (Steem Dollars) = a second form of currency used to pay out rewards. It also can be traded on exchanges.

Both of those can be converted into SP (Steem Power). SP is the "power" behind pretty much everything you do on Steemit. The more SP you have, the more your votes are worth. The more your votes are worth, the more you can influence rewards and get yours and others content noticed. SP enhances your curation rewards and can have a positive impact on your reputation, although the extent of that impact is something I'm not sure of at this point.

The second thing I would point out as a potential "selling point" is that SteemIt is a worldwide platform. Not just one country. The opportunity for growth is astronomical and, like you say, it is a platform that rewards its users for content rather than rewarding the corporation for users. It is in everyone's best interest on Steem to help everyone else be successful and to grow the community as a whole.

The final thing I would add is that the underlying blockchain with Steem is much more robust than most of the big names out there right now in the cryptocurrency world. Where bitcoin and ether are struggling with transaction times and fees, Steem is virtually instantaneous with free transactions. Where block sizes are almost full with other blockchains, Steem is running at less than 3% with more transactions a day than anyone else out there. In other words, it's poised to grow and can handle that growth without upsetting the applecart, so to speak. The platform is such that many things can be built on top of it in the months ahead that will only increase its users capabilities. It truly is early days on this platform with lots to look forward to.

Thanks for using your platform to get the word out there. I recognize the unique opportunity you have and very much appreciate your efforts to help grow the community. If anyone has anything to add to this, feel free. I'm by no means the be all/end all on knowledge about this place.

Steem On!!!!

THANK YOU!! @dagger212 This was really good. You helped ME understand better. I am going to see how I can work these facts into the chart because if it helped me it can help others. The are so many nuances to Steemit, its hard to keep it to one chart which is the standard for this particular use---writing a demo for E-retail, as I have done for 16 years. But the facts help springboard the General Verbiage and these are important facts. I really appreciate the time you took to give this valuable input. It's everyone input that helped me be able the start to chart this so I appreciate everyone input. I started Steemit on Dec 1 2017 so "volunteering " to chart this is benefiting me greatly. The teacher who prepares the lesson learns the most!

Indeed. Teaching is definitely the best way to learn. A link that will help you understand the voting is https://steemnow.com/@vonabell. That tracks your voting power, how much a vote is worth, how long to re-charge your voting power, and a bunch of curation info. It's very handy. In fact, I bookmark it and keep it open as a second tab in my browser so I can check it. You can see who voted for you, how long ago, and other interesting things. Plus, you can actually do it with any member here. So you could delete vonabell and put my name, @dagger212, for instance, and see all of my stats. Steem is, for the most part, very transparent. The problem isn't seeing it, it's finding it.

Thank you once again, I did not know about that either! That is an interesting link.
You are so right, knowing it exists and where to look. I need to keep learning. :)

Thanks for reading.

Good post! Visit our blog and see the latest news and the best tops :D Greetings

It's looking much better. While there are some sections that I would like some additional clarity on, one must make a few accommodations for "getting the content out TV-style, and selling the product."

I particularly like the use of the term "minted," because that is a fair representation of what happens.

Though I'm not sure how "comprehensive" the FAQ is, considering how hard it is to get a lot of this information communicated to you that's not on that page.

Overall though, aces!

Hi @lextenebris,

Thank you for the feedback.

I visited the Steemit.com FAQ page and found it very helpful to me, so I thought I'd let the "audience" know it is available. It's where the word "minted" came from.

If I was pitching this, this new WSGAT fleshes out the details with much better clarity than the first.

The research process definitely helped me understand Steemit better. The WSGAT is chart is kept to one page for review of the basics by the presenter. I think the information on this version of the chart would be a better tool to extrapolate the General Verbiage out of, which is the second stage of the process.

Thank you for being part of the process. and the kind welcome.

Steem is better than tv.. I love steem than tv
