The Journey to Steemit Dolphin Status
One of my goals when I joined steemit was to learn as much as I could as quickly as possible. I learned quickly about status and reputation and knew that I wanted to gain both. I am not an early joiner of steemit and didn't start investing right away, but I quickly became a believer in the platform and moved most of my crypto currencies into steem. Four and a half months later, 231 posts, 1516 comments later I have reached one of my goals.

I spent my life's savings into this platform and have hope that it will overtake some of the other social media platforms that do not offer anything to anyone, and feel they are just a waste of time. Time is money and if I were to lose money on this platform it is not different to me than wasting time on the others with no hope of gaining anything, except annoying trolls and food photos from my family that won't even answer my phone calls but certainly care what the world thinks about their dinner. This is not for me, for that I am certain.
The price of steem has grown from $1.53 to $6.00 and back down to the $1.50 range where I first discovered steemit.
The uncertainty and doubt has made me think deeply about what I am doing here and how to maximize my efforts to succeed on a platform where it seems my efforts go unnoticed my most. I have done my part to make friends and try and become part of something, discord has been my new effort to reach out and seek friendships and help from people from all walks of life.
I have honestly done the best I can to post quality content with the photos I have taken over the years and try and welcome people to my page with upvoted comments and resteems, and commenting on content I find interesting. I have spent countless hours confusing my friends and family with "steemit talk" of which they understand none of. My uncle believed in me and invested $5,000 of his own dollars into my efforts and that alone has made me work extra hard to make him proud.
I will continue to learn the platform and reach out to people who know more than me, and even people that know less can shed a new perspective that I have never thought about, we are all in one big steemit sea and no creature is more important than another based on their size, although at times it can seem like it. Good thing your uncle gave you the needed support! The trending page is hopeless we miss all those posts we should have seen a long time ago! So, I missed so many potential friends during these past six months!

Hi! Thank you very much for your invitation to join discord. I would love to try discord as I did make a big mistake in the past, I clicked all the wrong tabs and was told off harshly. It is quite difficult getting used to discord. Also there is a difference of time zone which often confused me.
I am traveling and on my feet these days, I should be able to try out discord next week! My new smart phone should be better than my old iPad!

there are many strategies, I don't know which one is best for you or any other one's than the path I took. I just hope this site keeps steeming on and we can make a really good community here that over takes facebook

in a sense it does, it attracts people to you and encourages them
to engage, nonsense comments probably not, but well thought out and meaningful I think it does help you grow. The more sp you have and the higher your voting power will attract more people and help you grow even more.
