RE: My introductory experiences of Zappl; The good - The bad and the Case for Mini-Blogging with Smart Media Tokens (ShortSTEEM)

The concern isn't really the garbage but the kind of overall eco-system it create and the ways people are encouraged to be creative in. In a platform that allow 64K character articles one might be encouraged to write long detailed posts. But 999 word limit would make people write short but creative content. There are only so many things you can say with 240 characters. But 999 words can give you best of both worlds. It's never too long. Easy to finish reading and still the content can be highly valuable.

So will every post need to be 999 words long? Not a word less, not a word more. If not, the limit itself doesn't press an issue for creativity. Is the post too long, or too short, that depends mostly on the reader. Six word short story by Ernest Hemingway has 32 characters:

"For sale:
Baby shoes. Never worn."

Maybe you just want a 999 word system... it is your origin story - the "999 man" !!! :D

All joking aside, I see the benefit of helping people better understand their work, just can't shake the fact it is still missing something.
