Why steemit can help our blog and social media?
We have been blogging, and building very large social media channels for many years now. During this time each of these channels have managed to limit our reach over time, and we now have to even pay to reach a sliver of what we used to reach at any given time. Our popular blog over at ExploreTraveler.com is ranked and get new visitors from all over the world each and every day. Now you would think that we should be rolling in the dollars right? Well no not really since the costs of working, maintaining and developing new material every day is difficult, and time consuming. Our videos on youtube also same thing and yes people do click on the ads at 10's of thousands all the time. But the current corporate leaders controlling the main portals of online media do not pay for these clicks on advertising. Why because all of our international readers seemed to have been deemed as not worth money due to where they are living. Personally I find this very wrong, and I was very happy to see a post talking about the Steemit CEO creating plugins for wordpress. With all of the traffic, and interaction on our website this would be a very powerful tool.
Now imagine if we could take this even further to include our podcast, video, and daily photo shot. We could help generate new content for Steemit, and also give material for people to read about our travels. We could even create a post in route to our destination, and be earning steempower while we travel to remote areas. Throw in the live video simular to what facebook is doing now, and we would have a power house community beyond anything Steemit is now. It's not about just earning money but being able to pay for the infrastructure we currently use. We do create unique and wonderful content enjoyed all over the world, but companies like facebook, google, and others prevent or deliberately slow down our growth. Then they ask us for money to reach the people we had already be reaching.
I for one think this model may just be what we need to be able to grow, and reach new people interested in the information and entertainment we have to offer. So from Europe to squid on a stick we look forward the the integration of plugins for wordpress, podcasting and live video. Together we can really build a community where there is opportunity for all.

Thank you. I do have the posts streaming on my website live now, but if I could auto post from our site and have the upvoting and comments live it would drive steemit's active user base. I suppose our long term readers would possibly come over too.
If you're trying to get the comments/upvotes here live on your wordpress site. You might want to checkout the javascript library. You can find it at steemtools.com i think it could handle it.
As for people commenting and upvoting on your actual site. Thats trickier as they would need to use their posting keys and security would become an issue.
Hit up the people in the various dev channels on chat. They should be able to point you in the right direction moreso than I can.
