The Lost Incan City of Eldorado - I think I found it!steemCreated with Sketch.

in #steemit7 years ago

I have always been facinated with stories about the nearly extinct Incan people. A race with no written language that somehow managed to build massive cities with a mathematical precision that is virtually impossible to duplicate today. So I have been doubly intrigued with the notion that a they build a city of Gold that to this day has not been found.

Today we know that Cusco in modern day Peru was the capital of the Incan Empire before the Spanish Conquistadors arrived and massacred the Inca people. We also know that Machu Pichu was a gold filled luxury retreat for the Inca Royalty and is located North West of Cusco on top of a mountain at around 8,000 feet altitude. We have even found sings of the old Inca Stone Road and Weigh Station buildings stretching some 300 miles north into the highest reaches of the Andes Mountains. Every researcher and expedition I have researched believes that "if the City of Gold exists it must be along this road or at it's end" but I disagree.

We know that when the Spanish conquered Cusco it was overflowing with gold. If the Capital City was filled with gold and the luxury retreat for the Inca Royalty was also ridden with gold then it would seem likely that the source of that gold was nearby......meaning where they housed the located but unused gold. What would they have done with all the extra gold? They could have hidden it somewhere, they could have built something with it (like a City made of Gold) but they definitely would have made it very hard to find and kept it relatively close to the Capital and Resort of Machu Pichu. With that in mind I began combing through satellite imagery on Google Earth looking for sings of old roads leading out of Machu Pichu and Cusco and to my surprise and amazement I managed to follow what appeared to be old roads from both cities to a single point in the mountains (between the two cities). Even more amazing was what I found on the North side of that mountain and on the south side of that mountain. On the south side of the mountain, near the summit are several large cave entrances into the mountain. Just south of the cave entrances I found hidden under dense foliage a rather large reddish object right beside one of the old roads. On the north side of the mountain is a freaking massive cave, I mean large enough you could fly a plane into the entrance. It is absolutely huge! So far I have found at least 5 separate cave entrances into this mountain, all near the peak.

I believe that the Inca people would have hidden their excess riches, being obvious master craftsmen just hiding the unprocessed gold would not have satisfied them. They would have built something amazing with it, completely hidden to the outside world (at the time). I believe the Lost City of Gold (Eldorado) exists to this day and lies inside this mountain.

That’s awesome! Pretty cool if you have found it! Good going!

welcome back after a long time and also good to make a post on incans @venuspcs

Great post and good research. Ancient civilisations are of huge interest to me as my research had led me to believe we have lost massive amounts of technological and spiritual knowledge. Thanks for this post. :)

Yes my friend im agree with you , thank for sharing these great inforamtions about Inca poeple

Beutiful...

I have heard of Eldorado before, but it was in an anime; Garo vanishing line.

Welcome back my friend! we missed you. Good read as I enjoyed it.

It would be a nice idea for the Inca people to have hidden their riches.sometimes it is either you invest your riches or you save it
