True Human Spirit

After reading "Heroes of 11-M" (September 2004), I couldn't help but be deeply touched by the stout-hearted people of Madrid. What caught my attention was that busy people stopped to help, that the survivors didn't flee for safety but chose to help instead, that the survivors didn't flee for safety but chose to help instead, that the police and fire fighters arrived quickly, along with medical staff, and that hospital patients shared their bed with the victims. And we must not forget the father and sons who knelt down and prayed in the middle of this sorrowful scene.

I would guess that it wasn't just adrenaline that pushed them to help. but a hidden strength and the unselfishness that is the true human spirit. I wish everyone in this world could be like the people of Madrid.
