What's up Steemians?

I've gotten this message two days in a row now, and I know it's happened to some of you out there as well. I'd like to know exactly what this is, if anyone knows. It basically like your account is frozen for a certain amount of time. I tried upvoting, commenting, and even posting and it wouldn't let me for about 10 minutes.

Another Steemian made this post about it: https://steemit.com/steemit/@greenman81/getting-message-bandwidth-limit-exceeded-please-wait-to-transact-or-power-up

And yet another Steemian commented this:

Well, I know that I have Steem Power, so that gets ruled out. But me, piss off a whale? I'd like to know what I've done to piss off a whale... I'm a pretty easy-going guy and keep my cool.

I have a theory about what happened yesterday but I can't think of anything for the message today.

Yesterday I got this message right after someone spammed one of my posts with a post of their own saying "Please upvote my post too." Her post was completely unrelated to what mine was and I politely replied "Please don't spam my posts with your own posts, especially when they have nothing to do with this post. I won't ever upvote a post that someone has left on my own post like this one."

It was only after I deleted my own comment that I was able to use my account again...

I mean is this not censorship? I thought Steemit was for liberty-minded people. The anti-Facebook, if you will. If I can't tell someone not to spam my page without having my account temporarily disabled, then WTH?

Anyone else getting this message?

Could it be a hack? Or could it truly be something to do with bandwidth? I really doubt it.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by Steemians.

It has something to do with the witnesses increasing their block size. I resteemed the notice, You can find out about it there

Thanks man.

I had that once and did research. The whale thing is wrong. It's an issue regarding the amount of Steem power you have and the amount of activity u do on this site. I've read that you have to add more Steem to fix this, but I found that taking a good break will fix it. I read that it's supposed to prevent spammers, but it's affecting a lot of us average users.

Ok that kind of makes sense, because I was just going through my "Replies" section and replying to my replies. I guess that I might've made too many replies within a short amount of time? Bleh, who knows?

Logging out and rebooting your browser is working to fix it for a lot of people and if that doesn't work rebooting your computer works. I tried it both ways when I got that message and I was able to post again.

Ok cool. Thanks!

its happen to me too , just keep calm and come back later

Yeah it seems to go back to normal after a little bit.

Trying to comment on an other post with picture and getting "davyoneness bandwidth limit exeeded. Please wait to transact or power up STEEM."
"exeeded" has this platformed been hacked some how??? or is the platform crashing from it's crypto crashing??? how frustrating..... Be nice if their was a "bandwith" gauge we could refer too in future , like our voting power (mine is at 100percent right now)
I barely post or comment on stuff, trying here to see if goes through without picture...... (got denied again here, but waited an hour and it got through?)

Yeah it's been happening to me for a couple days. If I wait a few mins it lets me commet again or post. This makes me mindful of how much I'm using steem. Kinda lame

Happened to me several times since yesterday - intermittent. I don't think any witness or whale is pushing a button here. It's technical hicups in my best estimation. Popped a message to that affect into SteemSpeak on Discord yesterday but didn't stick around to see if there was a reply eventually.

I am sure it has nothing to do with censorship.

Ok that's good news. Thanks bud.

Nah - no censorship. Just bugs since yesterday. We can see that the platform is under development by the intermittent lack of functionality of notifications... Eventually, it will level out.

It may just be random or some bug. I just opened steemit after being off for 12hrs tried to cash out my rewards and got that message?

I had this yesterday too and I just came back after 5 minutes and the problem was gone. It sounds like a bug of some kind to me.

Ok that's kind of a relief then.
