The worlds simplest trick to deal with anxiety and depressive thoughts.
I was so stuck thinking on how to make this article big and at the end, I just gave up, so this is officially going to be the smallest article I've posted in my steem journey.
So I just wanted to share a very simple breathing technique that helped me deal with negative thinking, anxiety and depression.
The main cause behind depression would be the things we think and other energetic stuff that I won't bother mentioning but they go hand to hand so it would be ok to just focus on thoughts at first.
Anxiety and depression are a by product of our thought process, hence to deal with them we need to first deal with our thoughts.
This technique will teach you how to cut the chain of thought so you can take a breath and open up to the moment.
The Technique
When you notice yourself starting to think a lot, simply do the following.
Hold your breath.
That is all to it!
By doing this you will see how the current moment goes into focus and all the thoughts stop for a short period of time.
I don't advise abusing this as we still need to find a way to treat our negative thought chain, but this method allows us to see how our thoughts make an impact on our emotions.
With enough practice, we can manage to get a grip on our thoughts and curve them to a more positive polarity.
The breath is the source of energy that backs up our thinking, and when we think a lot, all of the focus we have goes to our thoughts, cutting the thinking process helps divert the focus to our surroundings and everything else
I would add that sometimes medications are the problem. My cousin was battling with anxiety and depression for a long period of time. One thing that helped him a lot was to leave medications ...
Medications just suppress the energy, afterwards it comes back so we can deal with it. I never took any meds to deal with any anxiety or depression issue. I just found the resolves within myself.
Thanks for the post. I think a general focusing on breathing helps as well. Trying to control and be aware of your breathing.
Yeah.. The breath is the main source that feeds thoughts. There are numerous ways to practice breathing arts
Alternate nostril breathing helps too.
