🎆🎈MY 100TH DAY ON STEEMIT🎆🎈

Oh never mind it's already on the title. Yeah today marks my 100th day in steemit and how excited am I!!
It's been one amazing journey so far, since joining on the 24th of November last year.

First I would love to thank @ifioklee for the mentorship he gave me after joining then. See, I was doing it all wrong when I joined. I didn't really know the nitty-gritty of the platform and I was doing it all wrong!! Like all wrong!!
After joining I had these newbies mentality that you just post and relax on your couch and watch the dollars reeling in. Well, you know that's quite impossible to an extent and as you guessed right, I was earning zilch. Made about four posts and earned nothing. It was quite sad and painful at the same time. Imagine sitting for an hour or two, composing a post, criticizing and scrutinizing every line till you satisfied to an extent and after two days the $0.00 just stares you in the face. It was very discouraging.
@ifioklee is in my department but in a senior level. So I messaged him and told him my plight. He then took out time to come to the school hostel and brush me up on steemit. That day I was really excited. He told me the areas I was getting it all wrong. He even helped me earn my first dollars (not from a post though). There was a @stach competition as at then. The project20millionnaija initiative. I joined in and earned about 13sbd in total. It was so surreal. @ifioklee helped me achieve this and this post is dedicated to him.

THE JOURNEY SO FAR
Well it has been one exceptional journey. Steemit has been a phase in my life. A life-changing phase. A lot of amazing things have happened in such a short while.
I have learnt a lot of things. Things I wouldn't have known if not for steemit.

• I have made a lot of new and amazing friends and I still make more on a daily basis.
• My knowledge has been broadened on a vast number of fields. Travel, photography, music, finance, entertainment, socializing, you just name it.
• I have also earned some bucks which is quadruple of what I earned while working in a cafeteria for six whole months!!
• I have also caught the positive spirit of the platform which is generosity.

The Nigerian steemit community in itself it's one that deserves commendation. It is one of the fastest growing ones. A lot of new users in the country join in every day. And they fall in love with the platform as they now see that they are rewarded for their efforts on the platform. Something that no social network will afford you.

Finally I will round this up by commending @stach . @stach (Steem accelerator hub) has made steemit pleasurable for Nigerians. @Stach decentralizes the offline by providing free electricity and internet for users in Nigeria. As at now there are two of such hubs active in Nigeria. One in portharcourt and the other in Uyo. One is currently being planned and will soon be done.
@stach also encourages newbies who put up quality stuff by providing upvotes for them. This has made sure that a lot of persons do not get discouraged due to lack of payouts.

Final finally!! Hehe. Before I go I would just like to highlight what has worked for me.
Steemit is a social media. So we should put this at the back of our minds. A lot of people just come in with the mindset of making money and that Is bad. Except you've got millions of Naira to invest in steempower and start giving yourself upvotes.

• You have to work hard and smart.
• Make a lot of friends on the platform.
• Become known.
  This ain't herculean in any way.
  The simplest way to socialize is by commenting. Yeah! commenting . That's what I tell people who learnt about steemit from me or people who come asking me for advice. I tell them to make a lot of comments. Not spamming, but meaningful comments. That's also a great way to increase your followers. I have made a lot of friends this way.
  Additionally, the discord app is invaluable for this as well. There are a lot of servers for different steemit users with different interests. I'm in a lot of groups. Through discord I have met personalities that have been instrumental in my growth on the platform. So if you are a new user or one who is still struggling on the platform, these two things I've highlighted will work wonders for you. Believe me!!
  That's my two cents for you asides that you'll get from my upvotes..lol.
