Back after a long time

I've been away for several years, locked in a prison of my own making.
Someone recently blogged about Steemit dying as a platform, but I think it's because they're only in it for the crypto, and they couldn't care less about what decentralized distribution of content can do for the entire world.
Maybe others can set me straight.
