I have tried lots and sometimes Steemit seems cool. Other times seem not moving. Whatever you can write. Perhaps would be exciting when Eos launches, and it's the platform to create Steemit kind of ecosystem. Then things will flourish.

I could imagine things like Uber, Ebay or Airbnb concepts created onto Eos.
