How to get a response from steemit.chat/discord

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

I would like to say that every steemians knows that steemit is a social network with lots of community, interactions and engagements.

There are some websites that have been built on the steemit blockchain network. Such as steemit.chat, steemd.com, steemdb.com. Also, Discord.

I have discovered that chatting with people on steemit.chat or discord leaves you with either “ no response or a bad response”.

In my personal opinion, starting a chat with a “new person” on steemit.chat or discord and getting response is based on few things:

* Your motive

* Your introductory message

* Your profile

* Your community.

In final words, I would say it is much easier to get a response from a new person if you are a known name in some of the channels than popping up from nowhere.

I was banned from steemtalk. ;D

Hahaha, are you serious? Can you relate why that happen?

Someone (we all know) was having a monologue making a spurious claim how an atheist (who was incidentally also banned) wasn't really an atheist, but a theist who hates God. I had to put him right that atheism is not what he thinks it is... Suddenly I was kicked off and couldn't log back on.

I think that's just an example of religious tolerance.

Religions issue is something I always try to avoid, since i have seen the many killings and damages being done in my country in the name of religion. Now, I can confirm religious intolerance is everywhere. Thanks for sharing your view and stopping by.

To chat with someone, you go through the proper channels.

There are those who are willing to answer any of your queries, and there are those too busy to attend to you.
All in all, it takes a lot of time to grow here.

Chatting for the sole purpose of chatting is cool and all, but when the people you're chatting with are literally busy every second, you had better have a good reason why you buzzed them up.

Yeah, I agree with you brother. There should be good reason to buzz people up. Not just for finger-triggered chats. However, once you make friends here, your line of chat flow naturally. Thank you for stopping by @destinysaid

Well said. I totally agree with that! That's why I believe rapport is such an important aspect of building any communication relationship :)

Nice post my man! Talk soon.

Thank you for stopping by friend.

Thank u .and appericiation may get one muted atimes..i think its just grace we carry.

Well not everyone appreciates such. Its better you go straight to the point most times, especially if you are not close to the person. Also, different people with different attitudes too.
