Sup, fam! @bethalea here again with one of my most favorite souls on this planet, @nicnas. Nic is one of those rare people, like @dontstopmenow and @jonsnow1983, who are here for the entire positive experience that is Steemit, not simply for the monetary rewards. From his early participation with the Minnow Support Project to his current position as Chief Curator for @buildawhale, Nic is a dedicated nice guy and an asset to any community he participates in. We became friend through @spl on the poker table after he bet against me... and LOST.

Q: Where are you from and where do you live now?
A: I grew up in San Diego, California. I currently live in the Inland Empire. (that’s in Southern California)

Q: How old are you? How old do you think Tuck is?
A: My age is not important, but Tuck's is. He claims to be like 80 or something. I was thinking he was in his late 20's until I heard his voice and figured he couldn't be more than 18. But my current guess is early twenties.

Q: Where/when/who taught you to play poker? Tell me the story.
A: I learned playing online but I had a thing for gambling since I was young. My grandparents and cousins all live in Vegas. I had a slot machine in my home growing up. Then I started going to the Horse Tracks with family at around 8. I became quite good at it young. Still am. I started playing poker online when it was legal in the US. Not that it is completely illegal now... I was 14 or so and was playing on Full Tilt and Poker Pros. I did pretty well hustling people who were just throwing money away basically.

When they started making laws and prohibiting it, I stopped playing. I think I was in my early 20's then. I was playing at a Indian Casino called Pala back then too. I did pretty well there but it was a small casino. I played small penny tables and just made side-hustle for the next 7 years, give or take.

About 2 years ago I started playing again after a break. I was playing Global Poker and a couple other sites. I love loopholes in laws. Now I do not have much time but I continue to play SPL league on Sundays. Since it is my only day off. So my poker "career" has been decent, albeit small. I have made loads of money, but never lived off it. Now a days I make more elsewhere where it's more consistent. So no one taught me but myself. I love numbers and odds so I enjoy knowing what is the likelihood of me winning.

Q: Do you have a favorite poker player?
A: I have had favorite players over the years, though no one at the moment. Poker players are very intelligent but are very arrogant and straight assholes most the time. I save my assholeness for off the table myself.

Q: What’s the last movie you saw? What did you think?
A: I love movies and watch a ton. But not too many good ones recently. John Wick is one of my more recent faves. Logan was good too.

Q: What do you think the Greatest Comedy (movie) of All Time is?
A: All Charlie Chaplin!

Q: What’s your favorite thing to eat? Do you like to cook?
A: I cook and eat a lot of Asian food.

Nic’s favorite munchies are Funyons, so this was a jackpot!

Q: What’s your favorite thing about Steemit?
A: The legit communities on the platform, like SPL.

Q: What’s your greatest wish? (right this minute, the first thing that pops into your head!)
A: The health of my family and friends.
