The Brave New World of Cryptocurrencies is full of scammers. Blockchain technology is secure... but you have to take care you don't offer your accounts keys on a silver platter to the scammy criminals.

I've just came across another scam, stealing people's accounts... This is how it works.

First, they spam a lot, trying to get people to follow a link to SteemitPhoto. When you put your mouse over it, you can see the address it goes to (http://steemitfoto.ga), on the left bottom corner:

If you follow that link, you'll go to this website:

Up to this point, nothing has compromised your account. But DON'T use your Steem Keys in this website. if you do, they'll steal your account, they'll steal your money... and from that point, your account will be used in the scam, too:

As a rule of thumb, only use your Steem Keys at SteemIt.com --- or with any site that connects through https://steemconnect.com

The site above claims to use https://steemconnect.com but that is when you have to check if that claim is truthful, by watching if the address you're asked to log in to is the real thing:

If your browser is showing you this address (https://steemconnect.com...), you can trust it... it's the real thing... any other address claiming to be Steemconnect is going to be a scam.

The above mentioned site does not use SteemConnect. They're lying: In reality, the link goes to: steemitfoto.000webhostapp.com (the scammer's website.)
