A Compilation of ALL Useful STEEMIT Websites to Enhance Your Experience

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

I have accumulated a long tab of bookmarks just for Steemit, and I wanted to compile them all in one place for everyone to use. Those who are new here to Steemit may not have found these links, or maybe some just forgot. Anyway, here they are!

Images – STEEM IMG

If you are looking for a place to quickly upload or keep your photos for your Steemit blog, then this is the place to do it.

Valuation – Steem Prices

Knowing what STEEM is trading at is good if you are figuring out if you should cash out or if you just want to get an accurate valuation of a post. Steem prices is the best place I have found for this and it gives you trading values on the different markets.

Managing Payouts – Steem Stats

If you are curious what payout you will actually get from a post, or just want to see how much you got paid for past posts, Steem Stats makes it easy and fast.

Visualization – Steem Viz & Steem Pond

Sometimes it's fun to see what the Steemit community is doing right now. Steem Viz and Steemit Pond are the two best sites I have found that give you a real-time display of upvotes, new users, transfers, comments, etc.

Cashing Out – STEEM to USD

Alright, so most new users are probably still in a flutter trying to figure out how to ACTUALLY get money for Steemit. Steemit is my first experience with crypto, so I had to learn fast. I found this blog post from @mctiller very helpful. I am sure there are others out there, but I used this one to help walk me through the process. To actually manage money you can use CoinBase and Blocktrades. There are others, but that's what I use.

Knowing When to Post – CatchaWhale

Knowing when to post your blog can be a little tricky. Different times may yield different results. The best resource I have found is catchawhale.com, which tracks when whales are upvoting and ranks the quality of the time to post. Obviously it can't predict when whales will be online, but it gives a good estimation of good and bad times for new content.

Rankings – Rich List

If you want to know who the top Steemers are or want to know if you rank high up, then the rich list is the best place.

Story Time – Steem Story

This website is a little more on the fun side than it is helpful to steeming. You can type in any username and it will generate a custom story with that user's stats.

Tagging – Steemit Tags

This is an extension of Steemit, but if you want to see what tags are netting the most payouts, then this is the place to go.

User Information – Steemit Distribution

If you are curious to know the number of active users, or even total users, then this extension of steemd.com will do the trick.

Android Steem – Android Widget

If you are an android mobile user and want to keep up to date on the price of Steem, then you can check out an android widget developed by @sunking .

So, I wrote this when the search function was down, so I had to go a little bit off of memory for sites I didn't have bookmarked. If I missed one, let me know in the comments and I'll add it in. Hopefully, this is useful for anyone new around here, or even those more experienced. Steemit is an awesome place and I am looking forward to seeing it grow.

@travorjenglish - Great list - Thanks for collecting this all for us. Quick question: Could you include my Android Widget for Steem? That would be awesome. I really need some helping hands on this... - thank you so much!

Of course! I'll add it in.

Thanks for posting these tools/resources! Definitely helpful for newer members and veterans alike.

I was hoping they would help at least one person!

Thank you sharing the list!

There is some local wesites, like steeme.ru especially suitable for Russian community due to language content filtering etc.

Yeah, I have been noticing other sites specifically for each language. It's good to see language barriers being broken on Steemit!

Very usefull for novice

Great! They have all been useful to me :)

Wow this is really comprehensive and helpful, Thanks for the post.

Hi! This post has a Flesch-Kincaid grade level of 10.3 and reading ease of 62%. This puts the writing level on par with Michael Crichton and Mitt Romney.
