Especially if you're trying to grow your own account. I see it daily now. The sad part is that some Steemians upvote good looking content based on the first look without actually examining it in its entirety.
Hopefully it will not and up with hierarchy. I had been in a photographer site for years. There was very similar system but nobody got paid for posting but instead rewarded with different badges and some how always some who are superior from others even the quality is not corresponding to the reward because they where running on those who wants to be notices in big ocean and if you where to active you risk to be downgraded and your vote is worth almost nothing. The site is closed now obviously! It can’t run for long time, sooner or later people are noticing this and losing interest. For the moment I have no idea have they will manage to get quality content visible and correctly reward people for their content.
