It is interesting how the steemit community seems to be more cordial and respectful than others.

I think that the money aspect does seem to have a civilizing effect on steemit users.

Ill-will and general douche-baggery causes the money flow to stop flowing. If the STEEM aren't flowing in this system, the value will trend down.

But general niceness, helpfulness and goodwill keep the STEEM flowing (i.e. working).

As long as equity, courtesy and fairness are maintained and the financial ledgers remain open, this community can grow :)
