Aid Has Been Successfully Delivered
Hello my fellow Steemians,
As I was saying yesterday, instead of ranting or whining about the misfortunes (or organized plans of some evil minds), I decided to actually do something about it.
With the help of truly awesome peeps such as @mr-phoenix, @onceuponatime and @giosou, who RUSHED to contribute as fast as they saw yesterday's post, we did what we all four considered our duty in order to help our fellow beings.
Without losing any time we first visited a pharmacy where we LITERALLY bought every available supply/medication of the ones The Red Cross required for the sufferers....
The total cost was 120 Euros...
Next, we visited the supermarket where we bought all kinds of dry foods, juices, water, clothing toiletries such as baby wipes, pads, toothbrushes etc. We managed to fill two big trolleys!!!
The total cost was a little over 240 Euros...
But as you can CLEARLY see in this photo, none of us complained about it...We actually FELT GOOD ABOUT IT!!!!!
Next stop was in Corinth's KEK or Corinth's Samaritans as its official name is, an independent and non-governmental group that is working closely with The Red Cross and tomorrow will transfer all the collected foods, juices, waters and medications to the sufferers of Kineta and Agioi Theodoroi.
Here's Steemit's contributions...
Which of course (and FORTUNATELY) is only a small part of all the supplies our fellow Corinthian citizens have already donated...
@onceuponatime "supervising" the supllies...
I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to @onceuponatime who contributed 150 Euros, @mr-phoenix who contributed 100 Euros and @giosou who also contributed 100 Euros, even though the man lives in Samos but found a way to send money in order to help. @giosou you have my UTMOST RESPECT brother! I also contributed 50 Euros.
The overall cost of the shopping was 360 Euros, which means that we have 40 Euros left.
Worry not, however, as I will deposit the specific amount, as well as the profit of yesterday's post in six days from now (when the post "gets paid"), to the bank account of The Red Cross that has opened for the fire's sufferers. I will take photos of the bank receipt as soon as I deposit the total amount. So, if you want to keep voting for it, please click on here.
Last but not least, I would like to say a big THANK YOU from the very bottom of my heart to a beautiful soul named @indian-mom, who surprised me with her kindness and love for her fellow humans, by sending me and donating all her hard-earned money on Steemit (4.514 SBD). People like you dear, help me restore my faith in humanity. Thank you for being the beautiful soul you are. God bless you, dear @indian-mom.
Dear @tkappa, @mr-phoenix and @onceuponatime, i would like to thank you too, for taking this initiative and applying the total project from A to Z. As you said , when there are people like all you(i would like to add) and @indian-mom there is still hope in this world to become a better place . God or whatever you want to call this power bless you with health and prosperity !
PS. I live in Samos island
Thanks for the good words my friend. All I have to say about you (and I mean it) is that you're the living proof that some (few unfortunately) modern-Greeks are pure descendants (in blood and spirit) of the most glorious and advanced civilization humanity has ever seen: The Ancient Greeks. You deserve all the success and happiness (on and off Steemit) you can get. You have a new dedicated fan from now on ;)
PS. OK I am editing this ASAP lol
I really don't know what to say as i m not used to complments ...
I'll be present in the next project for help.
The Organizer:
Now that I see this photo again, I was SO BLOATED there. I am so glad we stopped dinning out the past couple of months and decided to spend our money to help fellow humans instead of devouring pork ribs :P :P
I want you to meet my trainer at Gold's Gym. She's the kind of woman that I think could handle you (with one hand tied behind her back HaHaHa)
Depends how she would handle me. If she is allowed to hit me with a hammer or baseball bat and all I can use is a rose, then I give her a good chance :P LOL
A gentleman would always use a rose, wouldn't he? You've lived in France. You should know :-)
Of course. No women, no kids...Rule #1. Btw, is there a chance you take a photo of her and show me? I may want to join Gold Gym too after...you never know :P
I will e-mail you her Facebook page tomorrow.
And I think that she will be on steemit soon.
just amazing bro... I am glad you initiated something of the likes. :)
Thanks for resteeming and supporting man μου :))))
Dear Theodore, I think we just did our duty as people ...! The amount of everyone's contribution should not have been published for me ... But I respect the issue of transparency and management you told me so I agreed. I want to thank you all from my heart and you more, for your organization and flexibility!
Without your help George, none of this would happen as fast and as efficiently. I thank YOU for everything my friend :))))
Great action, you have done well.
Thank you so much my friend. I didn't do anything really. This was team work and a common donation.
that was much more
