Steemit is in its early stage and there are only few users with an huge amount of SP (you call them whales). You say the system should be changed from SP to reputation power. Let me tell you why this is a bad idea. Right know we have a hand full of curators who can give you a nice amount of dollars and you think it's unfair. But guess why? Because Steemit hasn't even developed now! In few months those with little SP will have more and so they can give others more power. It's just a matter of time. Steemit as it exists now will change.
