Another Un-tested STEEMIT UI Decision - Saving a Witness in Safari

Once again I NEED to point out the CHINKS in the ARMOR here.

I realize that most users here probably aren't running on MAC but if you are like I am because I'm a designer, you will want to pay attention here. In addition of you are a TOP 50 or 100 Witness trying to climb the Blockchain ladder, YOU MOST DEFINITELY NEED TO LISTEN IN.

CHROME VS SAFARI

Chrome -

Pretty simple to explain. When you select a Witness to vote on you can select multiple witnesses here and the UI saves your selections. The UI works as intended.

Safari -

OH BOY! Really NO one has CAUGHT THIS YET? So it's likely this ALSO was something that was implemented but sadly equally un-tested for web browsers. I understand a majority of users are probably using Chrome, Opera, Firefox etc but there ARE SAFARI users as well. (Note: YOU can't upload in Dtube on Safari either)

Use Case 1: Can I vote for a witness like I do in Chrome where my choices are SAVED?

ANSWER: NO THEY ARE NOT.

User Test: Select Safari as your Web Browser and go to the link above. After you go there select a witness to vote on. Then hit refresh... Was your selection saved? UMMMM no!

Sadly today as I'm sick in bed, creating a post for VALUED STEEMIT WITNESSES I've met that have inspired me to stick with the platform and continue to build a presence in the community and I discover this issue.

Could be a bug, could be unsupported, could be "we never tested it", unsure...

I am using Safari 11.0.3

What I DO know is try going to your witness link to vote on witnesses in Safari and see if it saves your selections. Most likely they are not.

Why do we care about this?

Most people will say who cares about Safari... But the Witnesses in office I'm sure do. It's pretty difficult just navigating users to your witness section on the page let alone getting them to vote. Now you know if for chance they are using a MAC with SAFARI its likely they VOTE for you, then close the screen, tab, window but guess what ALL THOSE VOTES are NOT SAVED! If you return back to the UI link it'll show all the selections removed.

Note to @ned, @pkattera, @sneak, @andrarchy unsure if Safari is a web browser you want to support but if not IT should be on this page for sure, as its not correctly working right and I'd consider this to be a SEV2 JIRA Ticket.

Note to Witnesses

Witnesses, sorry for the direct tag here, but i feel its my duty to inform you of this conflict and to possibly revise your footers. "Please use chrome to vote" etc... Until this error is fixed I feel like you guys will all miss out on campaign votes that you worked hard to get and deserve.
