The mistakes that a lot of newbie Steemians have is they think by gaining followers is the way to succeed on Steemit. Frequently, I get comments like "upvoted you please follow me." with nothing else to follow that would indicate they even read my post. I bet anything they didn't even bother to read my posts, they simply just copy and paste a default message. It seems like these newbies' focuses only on gaining followers rather than creating quality content or content that is worth looking at. What's worse is when you flag their spam posts they flag you for flagging their spam. I flag people that spams because we need to upkeep Steemit's legitimacy. Frequently these people have crap for content as I've looked into it. Most of these what I call spammers have "below the belt" and "sketchy" content which I am sure you know what I am talking about if you have been around.

My message to these spammer:

"IT'S NOT THE QUANTITY BUT THE QUALITY THAT MATTERS"

If you want to help the world you need to be honest about your content and do the best you can to make sure of the accuracy of your posts. Make sure your post has a positive effect to the world because it's every person on this planet's responsibility to make this world a better place for everyone.
