Is @randowhale even worth it????
Is @randowhale even worth the 2.00 SBD?
Here's my 2 cents.
I first started trying @randowhale when I saw a post about how it can bump up your payout rewards by considerable amount, that wasn't the case for me. The first time I tried @randowhale it did bump up my postings by a few bucks but after a few days the #dollar amount seems to deplete on it's own? Can someone explain why it does this? So to make the long story short, the amount that I put into @randowhale by the time of the payout it pretty much even out. However , I do see a pattern that when a post does really well and has many upvotes @randowhale might actually be beneficial to use.
Conclusion (based on my experiences only):
- don't use @randowhale if your post has low upvotes (probably should have at least 60 upvotes to make any difference)
- take into account if the post is worth using @randowhale by the potential payout and curation

I've tried it a few times. It really is hit or miss because you get a random percentage of power. Probably not worth it for minnows.
I didn't think so either, now the max % is 5 so I would get a measly 1.2 % most of the time.
i believe its good to help a few starters or minnows here until they are sufficiently powerful enough with steempower and followers to keep it going by their audiences and themselves ~

If I understand it right, posts loose money after a time because the reward pool on Steemit is limited. So let's say there are 1000 Steem for rewards, and your post would get 10 of them. But if someone else upvotes another post and the reward pool is exhausted a little part of everyones reward is taken to give it to the new post.
