Cameroon Steemit Sensitization Campaign/Budget Report
A week ago, we launched the Cameroon Steemit Sensitization Campaign, that strives to raise awareness about Steemit to over one million Cameroonians. Today, we bring the weekly report of the work that has been done so far, while calling all Cameroonian Steemians to participate in this exciting initiative that offers juicy rewards.
Kamer Steemit Promo Contest
The first edition of the Cameroon (Kamer) Steemit Promo Contest just ended with the award of prizes and permit us begin by saying that week 2 of the contest will have amazing prizes because during week one of the contest, we raised funds to prepare promotional materials for the Cameroon Steemit Program. For Week 2, it will be more about the contest participants with huge prizes to be won. Every participant was awarded 1 Steem meanwhile @pchords4, @verlonji and @doctor23 were the winners of the contest.

Cameroon Steemit Sensitization Campaign
With it's principal goal being to raise awareness to over one million Cameroonians, the following items were acquired during week 1 and in preparation of Week 2 of the Cameroon Steemit Sensitization Campaign. This budget report comes to justify why we have been making withdrawals from our account via Poloniex: @steemcurator01 @steemitblog
First, about 9.5 SBD came from @mr-greens to @thegreen and it was meant to support @ecoDesigns whose account was hacked during the week while about 10.5SBD came from @verlonji who wanted to convert her SBD into local currency for use. @thegreens also lost about 35SBD in a Poloniex transfer but we are however working on its recovery. Blog posts about the @ecodesigns account hack and @thegreens' Poloniex withdrawal loss will be shared in the days ahead for the Steemit Team to find a suitable way forward for the two issues.
Going back to budget report, the following items were realized;
Designing of posters, flyers and banners was done by @nforyembe of @yems.group and he received 10,000CFAF (3SBD)
We (@mr-greens, @yeesja and @joelmanas) negotiated with Ngia Ndoh Potatoes of Abakwa FM Radio, FM 99.O for the Steemit Sensitization Radio Program at 1.5SBD per radio program. Our radio program will hold twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays from 03:00PM and we have paid for 10 editions of the radio program with Abakwa FM which is 15SBD.
Meanwhile we resolved that every Cameroonian Steemian who participates in our live radio program will receive 1SBD. On Friday 10th April 2021, @joelmanas, @yeesja, @mr-greens and a potential Steemian who served as videographer participated in the Radio program and were each given the equivalence of 1SBD in CFA to pay for their transportation to and fro the radio, as well as motivate them to keep being resource persons for our Steemit Sensitization Radio Programs.

Our goal is to encourage active Steemians to start similar radio programs with all radio stations in the region. Steemit is a decentralized platform and we too are promoting decentralization of activities so that active steemians can replicate our activities for the realization of the primary objectives of our Cameroon Steemit Program.Steemit T-Shirt Design was done by Beu-T for 1SBD and 10 T-Shirts printed for 15 SBD at Blue Effects. The Steemit banner was printed at Copy Runner for 3 SBD meanwhile the 100 A3 flyers AND 1000 A5 Flyers were printed for 12SBD
Budget expense total
So for, we have spent over 60SBD for items/rewards of the Cameroon Steemit Sensitization Campaign. Besides the Steemians who will be justifying receipt of rewards in CFAF, we can further provide receipts of expenses when need be.

- The Steemit Signboards (25 SBD)
- 02 Tables and 02 Umbrellas and 06 Chairs to be used for outdoors community sensitzation (15SBD)
- 800 A3 Posters and 8000 A5 Flyers
- 30 Radio Programs with Abakwa

Cameroon Steemit Program Impact Report
Via Cameroon Steemit Promo contest, we have been able to reach out to over 1500 Cameroonians directly with our social networking shares. We shared the word with these people directly via WhatsApp views, Facebook likes and comments, etc. Indirectly, we have been able to reach to over 10,000 Cameroonians. @mr-greens, @yeesja, @njiatanga and @peacemakers have together organized 04 sensitization campaigns at the Teken football field, Teken Quarter, ecoDesigns workshop and in Baffoussam. These sensitization Campaigns in total have been attended by over 300 persons whom we had a one on one talk about Steemit. Going by our sensitization rewards program, they will rewarded
@mr-greens and @peacemakers at Teken Football field during a live Steemit awareness campaign
The feedback from the members who listened to the awareness raising campaign sessions was inpsiring as over 70 young people having made contact.
The young people who made contact have also been added to the Cameroon Steemians WhatsApp Group. A total of 34 young persons have been added and @mr-greens @saxopedia and other advanced Cameroonian Steemians is currently engaged in a one on one online coaching with the potential Steemians.
As follow-up to the awareness raising campaign, @mr-greens has already organized 02 Steemit trainings at his home and at The Greens' office. Over 25 young people have been trained and 15 of them are already ready with their introductory posts pending their accounts creation and publishing on Steemit. @joelmanas is one of the Steemians trained by this program
Steemit Sensitization Radio Program
We have successfully had one Steemit Sensitization radio program with Abakwa FM Radio, FM 99.0 and we chosed to work with the biggest comedian in the region because we wanted to have the widest audience. Over 300,000 people listen to Abakwa FM's Comedy Show and that's why we will be talking about Steemit for the next 6 months on Comedy show, so that we can be sure of reaching over one million people via our radio program.
Our first radio program was attended by @yeesja, @jeolmanas, Gilbert, @mr-greens and our host was the famous Comedian, Ngia Ndoh Potatoes Sarkozy. We received 2 calls and 2 messages during the program and then over 10 WhatsApp messages after the program. The feedback was inspiring and we can't wait for every Tuesdays and Fridayds to talk about Steemit on Radio as well as commence @yeesja's Steemit Radio program.
So far, we can confidently say over 300,000 people are now aware that there exist a platform known as Steemit.
