WOW! This Re-Blog Feature is Awesome! Proof it will boost engagement and user sign ups.
Re-blogging isn't a 'new' feature by any means, but it is an effective one. Let me explain why. Let's just google "retweet feature stats twitter" or something similar and you will see what I mean.

As you can see in the above link article, from an analysis of 1.2 BILLION re-tweets, these trends became apparent:
29% of Tweets Generate a Reaction
"Using Sysomos social listening tools, we found that 29% of all tweets produced a reaction - a reply or a retweet. Of this group of tweets, 19.3% were retweets and the rest replies. This means that of the 1.2 billion tweets we examined, 6%, (or 72 million) were retweets."
What does this mean for Steemit's 're-blog' feature?
That means you will get roughly 30% more interactions on your articles at the very least and judging by how active the Steemit crowd is as of late, it could be quite a bit more in the short term. I would highly suggest everyone start writing, and writing alot, because this feature is about to boom the interactivity that Steemit has, in turn boosting the new user sign ups, user retention and so on. This provides Steemit with a more 'new-slike" platform for everyone to use, as opposed to just bloggers.
They also pointed out that:
Most Retweets Happen in the First Hour
"We discovered that 92.4% of all retweets happen within the first hour of the original tweet being published, while an additional 1.63% of retweets happen in the second hour, and 0.94% take place in the third hour."
What does this mean for Steemit though?
This means that all those people who wait around until 30 minutes plus to upvote something are going to be left out in the dust, because they won't be "in" on the conversation as often. This means your articles will get more of a fighting chance, instead of being dead on arrival in some circumstances. This is great news for everyone who likes Steemit, but can't write every single day, or has not built up their following just yet.
This also means you posts will have greater reach, and penetrate new user groups more often. Thus increasing your follower count and revenue via Steemit. HOORAY! Steemit improves each and every day!

I 'm so glad I read steemit today, or I might not know about the new re-blogging.
Perhaps @dan, announcements for new things/changes/additions etc could be somehow a separate feed at the top. OR, announcemnts could be 'sticky' at the top of the feeds. THis way, people who are not on steemit everyday would be able to see about anything new. Thanks!!

What a pain in the arse, it’s totally buggered up my feed. I’d like to see it in a separate tab. Alongside “trending” or “new”, a tab called “resteemed” so I could click on it if I wanted to, and my feed would just be the posts from the people I’m actually following.

Seems many are freaking out though. They want a unreblog button, and think its going to mess up their feeds. Some people resist change.
There are always going to be people who disagree. If the goal is worldwide social domination this is a required step to get there.
