About Hard Life in Pakistan

There is no doubt about the effect of corruption in the life and wellbeing of the masses in most developing countries and Pakistan is not an exception. Despite the fact that Pakistan is one of the fast growing countries in terms of population the level of corruptions have pinned the masses on the bed of constant sorrow and suffering. The politicians are not helping matter but rather are the major catalyst for suffering in the country due to corruption. A good example of this was seen during the shocking floods of August 2010 which attracted world attention to Pakistan making Angelina Jolie a renowned Hollywood actress to visit Pakistan in order to give her support. But Pakistan prime minister lavished huge amount of money in treating her lavishly while scores of people are lavishing in hunger and do not even find morsel of bread to eat a day.

Political Corruption in Pakistan

Just by taken a glance at the state of affair in Pakistan you will discover how much people are suffering. Karachi which is the seaport and largest city in Pakistan is gripped by tribal violence with the rival gangs fighting and terrorizing people while the police and state machinery stand by powerlessly. In fact, majority of Pakistani usually work for the entire day in dangerous and unfavorable condition firing and making bricks in Kilns just for 200 rupees which is equivalent to $2 or £1.30 daily. Notwithstanding the assurance of Pakistani government in putting laws in place that will guarantee worker condition and pay, laborers confirmed that their experience in Kilns just prove opposite to the assurance government is announcing on media.

Things Associated With Hard Life in Pakistan

There are lots of things connected to the poverty in Pakistan. The country is presently facing lack of jobs, capital, education, technology and investment. The main reason for hardship and hard life in Pakistan is due political corruption which has eaten deeply into the politicians. Due to high level of corruption in Pakistan the political parties are categorized into two families which are the Sharif family and the Bhuttos family. The struggle for power has resulted to lots of issues including hunger, terrorism, and other forms of violence making people to suffer even more. Also, the country has been seriously struggling with economic development in the country but the result is not enough considering to the effort put in due to lots of conflict and war which is the major undermining factor and killer of economic development.

Political Corruption and Lack of Good Governance in Pakistan

Corruption in Pakistan remains the main hindrance to good governance. In 2015 Transparency International through their annual survey on corruption ranked Pakistan 127 out of 177 in the list of most corrupt countries of the world. During Nawaz Sharif’s campaign for third term as Pakistan prime minister he promised to put war against corruption among his top priorities in his administration. However, since he entered the office he has not done anything to fight corruption rather he elicited debate in Pakistan in a bid to frustrate corruption investigation into his administration by Pakistan’s National Accountability Bureau NAB).
