How I made 2000€ on Steemit without investing money
To clarify I have only paid out 350€ in hard cash, but I additionally have 1885$ in BTC+alts and 600$ worth of Steem. I never invested a single cent into Cryptocurrencies. I only invested time and effort into my Steemit account.
In the past few months I tended to be quite critical and negative towards current developments on Steemit - especially boosters and circlevote communities. However looking at my growing Crypto Portfolio that was completely achieved via selling my SBD rewards, I feel a little silly for being so negativ about the platform.
My Journey on Steemit
I was introduced to Steemit by @avilsd . A Youtuber who back then primarily talked about the dark net market and drugs. I was curious about the possibilities of the dark net, but I honestly have no need to order drugs online. The thing that stuck with me was the idea of Bitcoin - a peer to peer currency.
Even though the Barney Stinson style change from avilsd to Kubera and focusing much more on Crypto was quite interesting, I did not enjoy his content that much anymore, mostly because I think I have a better grasp of numbers and trends and I am ten years older than him.
Still I want to give @avilsd his long overdue shout out. He recently documented his trip on bath salts and while I cant really watch the video, because jesus christ, effing bath salts!? I watched the resume part of the video and the notion of being curious about psychadelics but hating to feel vulnerable is something I can actually identify with, even though my drug use is much tamer and mostly a thing of the past.

The Koreans
Being a League of Legends Player and generally quite interested in Asian cultures little 25 Rep me noticed a lot of Korean posts in trending. So I thought 'ha, a language course' that is valuable content, I always wanted to speak an asian language and I have heard that Korean at least has a simple alphabet, it might also be helpful to get rid of the language barrier. English is generally quite rough for all asian speakers, because the way western and eastern language works is fundamentally different. I have come to notice that there are actually some similarities in German and Korean language

Also a shout out to @sochul who interacted a lot with me back then and made so much more progress in learning English then I did in learning Korean.
It would be great to have maybe others who are interested in learning korean, it is something I am looking forward to get back to.
Deva Winblood
One of my favorite times on Steemit where all the discussions I had with @dwinblood . I would have hoped that I convinced him that socialism and libertarianism are not as mutually exclusive as he often pretends and that socialism is not always marxism. But well, it was quite interesting to learn about how the libertarian mindset works and I actually copied a lot of ideas into my agendas, but the NAP is such wishy-washy hot air, that I honestly can't take anyone serious who believes in it as a solution.
The Germans
After not really caring for a while I have joined the German community. The tag deutsch is quite popular and for good reasons. We got good curators like @twinner and good content creators like @leroy.linientreu and @afrog.
Sticking to those 3 Communities and improving my writing and presentation I made the majority of my Steem/SBD in 3 months (May -Aug 2017, ~300 Steem + 300SBD). I have become a little depressed though, mainly because I don't want to be a full time content creator, but there have been a lot of other more bitter experiences in my Steemian live that I purposefully did not mention in this post. I might tell you those stories another day.
It is great to see such an unreal rally for SBD that will surely push the Steem Value long-term. Even though I have my concerns about Steem it remains the most accessible blockchain I have yet encountered and there are a ton of Steemians that I did not mention in this post that I consider friends and interesting personas.

Wie stark man halt in welche Community einsteigen will ist einem selbst überlassen, es hilft auf jeden Fall sehr. Ich scheue discord und Steemit.chat obwohl ich vielleicht mal face to face mit ein paar von den Großen reden sollte.

Ich hab mal mit @berniesanders n ziemlich angenehmes Gespräch gehabt im chat. Grundsätzlich waren die Wale eigentlich immer freundlich und offen mir gegenüber auch für neue Ideen, es war eher ich der gesagt hat: naja Steemit ist irgendwie Scheiße und das ist eure Schuld. Einladungen zu communities habe ich grundsätzlich eher skeptisch gesehen.
Daher halt auch dieser komisch-euphorische Post von mir als kleine Wiedergutmachung - so Scheiße ists ja eigentlich gar nicht.
Ja Steemit ist schon was ganz besonderes. Ich finde es dauert zwar eine weile, bis man hier etwas durchblickt, aber dann geht es ;)) Wie gesagt, mal schauen wo uns diese "Reise" hin bringt ;)
@ausbitbank , @neoxian sind auch sehr freundliche und redefreudige Whales, falls du dich mal mit wem wirklich Einflussvollem anfreunden willst. Ich hatte schonmal 1000 SP von neox senpai delegiert... ehm das hätte ich eigentlich im Post erwähnen sollen ^^*

Achja und ich fands auch irgendwann nervig zu viel Aufwand in meine Posts zu stecken. Eigentlich würd ich gerne lustige videos und meme Bilder einbauen, auf der anderen Seite war Design nie meine Stärke und ich hab auch nicht den Rechner oder (gute) Software dafür.
Ich versuche in letzter Zeit eher mir Sachen von der Seele zu reden anstatt einen attraktiven Post zu machen, eigentlich hätte ich gerade für den hier eine Ausnahme machen können, aber ich will lieber Steem als Diskussionsplatform und nicht eine Hochglanz Broschüre mit schicken Posts und wenig dahinter.
