Is steemit illegal in Nepal?
It's been a long discussion that is steemit legal in Nepal or not. The transaction of Bitcoin is totally illegal in Nepal. According to Nepal Rastriya bank the transaction of Bitcoin is illegal but the transaction of other Cryptocurrency is neither mentioned to be illegal nor it is legal. According to Nepal police, all cryptocurrencies are illegal.

There comes no questions of legality just for earning steem token for writing a post. It is similar to a game, if you do well you will get a token of that. The different case is the token of steem is worth something whereas the token of game isn't. So it is totally fine to earn steem and hold it.
Is transaction of steem illegal?
As per our knowledge the transaction of steem is illegal if you will get Nepal money by selling it or you use NPR to buy it. But you can do transaction of steem without touching Nepali money. You can convert your steem to Bitcoin and Bitcoin to USD and USD to NPR. Converting steem to Bitcoin is totally legal, Bitcoin to USD is legal too and USD to NPR is also legal.
So if you play safe, steem is totally legal. Just don't buy any steem from an unknown source or use esewa to buy steem from your friends. Be free to use steem, be one of the first Nepali to be a superstar of steem.

It's not illegal but you will definitely have to play it safe. We are here from ages and we have researched a lot. Just don't touch Nepali currency while doing transaction of steem and you must be totally fine.
