Why are we crazy about likes on social sites?

Social Sites

Many people spend most of their time on big social media platforms like instagram or facebook. Thanks to steemit, I have recently focused on our amazing platform and been away from the sites that people are crazy about getting likes. Even though some people manage to earn money via these sites, many of them are likely to post just for nothing. It is a pity that they don't know anything about Steemit yet. When there is a platform where you can post your blogs and earn money, why do you even need those platforms?

Many people are attention seekers on social platform like Instagram. If you ever check your instagram account, you will probably see photos and stories that are constantly being shared by your friends. I really wonder why people are really crazy about some virtual likes. Even though it seems like a topic which doesn't make any sense, I think it is important to observe and get results of these observations.

Lack of confidence

This kind of attitude actually shows a big lack of confidence in people. As they feel that they don't have places to show themselves in their real life, they need some online places to to feed their ego. When people get likes on these platforms, they feel their temporary pain and feel happy which usually doesn't last for a long time. This is the way of keeping ourselves happy with the pool of likes on virtual sites.

While this point show the lack of confidence, it also show how we are corrupted with miscommunication that is rising between people day by day. As we can't find time to look at our faces because of our mobile phones in our hands, we can't even say a word to each other so we prefer to show our feelings on instagram and facebook, decorating them with some emojis to demonstrate how we feel, I think that is really sad.

Attention!

Basically, people would like to see themselves getting attention thanks to those virtual likes on instagram. By doing this, they feel that they are important in the society, but the reality is when they return to their real life, nobody cares about their posts on instagram. It is once again a second of happiness which is all temporary. It is so funny that people fear that in real life people whom they are going to meet might be scared of the big changes they see because of the huge differences between real and virtual ife.

That's why, many people have tendency not to trust people whom they are meeting via these social sites which really makes sense. You never see people sitting in their homes just drinking coffee, they always seem cool with their photos which are always taken in the best place of their cities. In this case, can you trust these people considering the realities? I think, it is quite hard to do that.

Great promoting

It is sad to see people showing the places and food they are eating. As a teacher, I see many of my students drinking the same brand of coffee which is a sign of quality from them. They feel that If they don't drink that coffee brand, they will feel lost among other students. They also make sure to post the photo of their cups which have got the big name of that coffee chains. Hey people, look where we are drinking coffee, we are also like you and so please like us!

It seems that Instagram is also aware of this situation as they bring new emojis or additions every day. When you look at the story section of instagram, there is always something new tempting people to try it and show themselves better. As you can see, there is a big competition on these sites. People are afraid of producing something worthy in real life, so posting a photo of their food, drink or their body seems like a better of getting attention on virtual society.

Final Note

We need to be more open to talk and spend more time with our friends whom we can talk face to face. We must know that likes on those social sites don't mean anything. They are virtual, people! Hopefully, Steemit will control the internet by updating itself every day and working harder to get the attention of ordinary people.

I hope you find my post interesting, thanks for reading and Steem on!

Self vote ? Really?

Good day. I think count of likes is quite important. This shows the quality and popularity of the content, whatever it is. Also, posts with a lot of likes will attract other users. So if you have for example business account and you want to get more likes, here are useful jesusmanifesto services for this purpose!
