First week on Steemit. My experience.
So my first week on Steemit
The continuation of such headings is always something like: “How I earned 1000$ in a week!” or “100$ for a post!”
Now it’s time to write the story of my success.

Well, after my first week I got 2$. I still don’t really understand if there are exactly two dollars that I have now. A bit confused about it, because in the wallet information it’s written 0,1 Steem Dollar.
I got 200 followers, half of whom have the accounts with a bit weird names, no posts but with the number of followers rushing to 100 000! If the people who have so numerous audience want to be my followers, it is definitely the success, I think proudly! 😎
The other thing I don’t get is what the point of giving an upvote with 0,0000000001 of power. I am exaggerating a little but you get you I mean, right? Is it a kind of way to say how much I like your post? 😉
My reputation is 41 now. Perhaps that's the reason why my upvotes don’t have almost any value even with 100% of power. I wonder when it’s going to change. What reputation should you have for a proper upvote?
It’s so admiring to see when some posts get thousands of upvotes and hundreds of comments. It means that people do read posts! Maybe just not mine… yet… I hope. I understand you need time to find new friends and followers. And yes, I also understand that the content must be interesting. Still, it’s so frustrating to see no feedback 😪
Sometimes I think that it is! It must be a good topic, great pictures or whatever but… alas! So few of you actually read texts. Maybe there are too many words or maybe they are just boring. I truly hope they aren’t.
And the last, but not least thing I want to mention is I’ve met some really nice people here. It’s such a pleasure to communicate with you. Frankly speaking, I don’t like to get too personal on social media. Perhaps I’m always afraid to be judged. I don’t even have an Instagram account. Yeah! Such people do still exist 😅
I think comments sometimes can be so upsetting and discouraging. And from time to time I still fear to get something rude or offending on Steemit. Great to admit I haven’t seen anything like that here. So maybe the biggest value of Steemit is people. What do you think?

Согласна, большинство не тратит свое время на чтение постов, а еще хуже дела с голосованием и комментариями. И если у тебя уже есть определенный круг друзей, то еще куда ни шло, а новичку очень сложно - много пользователей, много любителей легкой наживы, создающих низкосортный контент. Из-за этого становится сложно найти что-то действительно стоящее внимания.
Важны друзья, а не фолловеры. Большинство так называемых фолловеров это боты, и если из 200 хотя бы 10 иногда заходит в ваш блог и голосуют - это супер. Они и есть ваши настоящие читатели. Количество фолловеров здесь не имеет значения, репутация тоже. Единственное, что имеет значение (кроме наличия друзей) это количество SP - от него зависит, сколько центов вы можете добавить человеку своим апвоутом.

You are already doing great, reaching a reputation of 41 within a week. As for me i got something below 25cent for my introduction post after hours of editing and rewriting a very big one and my reputation grew very slowly until one day I got an ocd-resteem.
With my little knowledge I can clear some of your doubts.
Your reputation depends on the number of upvotes and engagement you get for each of your post. And your vote value depends mainly on your steem power and then your reputation.
As far as the 2$ confusion, during payout after 7 days some of it will go to the people who comments and upvote on your post too. And it will alsofluctuate according to the market value of steem also.If the price of steem goes down sbd will also be reduced. If you haven't chosen 50% sbd and 50%steem I guess the some part of sbd you receive on a post will be split into some steem also.
And don't worry much about discouraging or negative comments here. People try to be polite with each other as there is a risk of provoking someone and if they choose to flag you it can cost your reputation.So people are generally nice here😁
Do join some discord communities of your interest and you will get support from like minded people over there.Everything on steemit is about engagement and interactions.
