help to interlink related and relevant blog postssteemCreated with Sketch.

hi steemians,

it's me again.

one thing that really bothers me about steemit.com is how unstructured and unorganized the front-end is.

of course, this is my take. i could very well be wrong.

i feel it is truly hard to see blog posts unless you are looking for something or unless you notice something because it already interests you. also, i have found that there is so much material that is interlinked and related that they miss each other and go to waste. others could really benefit from the different perspectives of the blog posts, including the bloggers.

i can't really do anything or suggest anything with respect to the front-end, because i am not a tech savvy guy; and, i do not want to insult those who are working hard to make this place better everyday by telling them what to do when i don't even have a solution to this problem.

however, one thing that i could suggest for blog materials that are related is to help each other promote each other's blog posts.

yes, it is believed that johnny depp is related to queen elizabeth!

i digress.

so, if you come across blog posts that are related, make the effort of posting a link to each of the related blogs in their respective comments section. so, if two blog posts are related, then post the link of one of the blogs post in the comments section of the other blog post and repeat it for the other one as well.

for example here are two blog posts that are interlinked:

blog post #1 has to do with how the internet traffic on steemit.com is increasing:

https://steemit.com/steemit/@me-tarzan/alexa-traffic-rank-for-steemit-com-april-19-2017

blog post #2 has to do with how many more new accounts are created on a daily basis:

https://steemit.com/steemit/@stephenkendal/steemit-total-number-of-new-accounts-created-in-2017-currently-stands-at-25-057-averaging-230-per-day-so-far

so, i posted a link of blog post #1 in the comments section of blog post#2. then, i posted a link of blog post #2 in the comments sections of blog post #1

the increase of traffic is related to the increase of new accounts that are being created.

if there are three or more related blog posts, for example, then make sure that you post links to ALL of the related blog posts in each of the comments sections. which means, you are going to have more than one link. so, if there are three related blog posts, then each comments section will have two links.

until a time comes when our front-end has a better structure to it, when it is better organized and when it is easy to find something, one thing we can do as a community is to use the comments section of each blog post to interlink related blog posts.

if we can find a way to really engage with the comments section this place will truly become something beyond money.

and, please do not get upset if someone uses your blog posts to promote other users' blogs. together we stand, divided we fall. so, for our survival, we are going to have to piggyback on each others' back. i scratch your back, you scratch my back.

this way other's material will not get lost and will find relevance via others' works. so each of us will be able to promote not only our own stuff but help others promote their stuff as well.

goodbye for now,

steem on!
