Hello Steemit Friends,

As we all know a lot of scams are going on here in Steemit which includes people sending phishing links to get your password , manipulating their names similar to that of some whales.

Here I will tell you how an individual with reputation of 70 was scammed.

But the thing where I lost my mind is that "How can a person with reputation score of 70 be a scammer ?"

It really took me a while to digest.

Look at the below screenshot :-

See the reputation score :- Its 70

I literally had to dig my ass to get to a reputation score of 58,and how can a person with such reputation be a fraudulent? think for a while !!!

Take a look at the fraudulent activity :-

Now please DON'T click that link mentioned :- it will redirect to a page similar to steemit and ask for your steemit creds,once you give its BOOM,your account will be hacked.

Well some have flagged him too.And I really feel bad about it.

But the thing is a person with reputation 70 can't be scammer:-

It takes a lot of effort and hard work to reach reputation score of 70,they are here to bring values to the community and not spoil it. Yes,his account was hacked by @accounttransfers and this asshole went on sending that link to all other whales. Thank to God, that @samstonehill account is recovered now after 5 days. Here is the post posted by @samstonehill regarding this scam activity.

Lets take a look at some other phishing name :

@jerrybanfeild - Phishing account for @jerrybanfield

@blocktradess - Phishing account for @blocktrades

@sweetssj - Phishing account for @sweetsssj

You could find many similar phishing accounts.

So Friends BE SAFE and don't fall for such fraudulent activities. STEEM ON

Thank for visiting

I recently wrote an article on why the minnow supporting bots are undermining our reputation system.

Essentially we have created a economy where you can buy votes. And votes result in a higher reputation. So scammer can just buy reputation now.

What's wrong with humans?

Thanks for sharing your summary!

It was nice of you to bring this to our attention and these scammers really upset me. And I am and have always been so against people being able to buy votes. I don't think it should be allowed. That is why I love #whalepower because they manually curate and vote accordingly.

this is a badass post

I like that all is good now, Steemit has a strong comunity and safety tools to defend from scammers like this

Yes friend, that makes the community further strong.
