@umperfectpoet - hey Daniel, Read your post in full , this is really a tought nut to crack for following reasons:

1. Its is said steemit is a platform for creative people , but for so many days i m observing creativity here means any thing about crypto currency and money stuff.
2. People here are list bothered about others its not a democratic system its a meritocrtic systems, the whales (big earners) who have steems muscle power steel the show and earns thousands of $.
3. The old members have made sought of group and followers so they get rewarded for there loyalty.
4. Every post in Japanese or Chinese language is appreciated and upvoted by hundreds coz they love their fellow men.

your a budding artiest for you sky is the limit , may be in few days ur single poem could fetch thousands of upvotes.....so please keep trying...... I m not an artist so this creative part is not for me.....
