To Implement First Upvote Feature

In my personal case the reason to join Steemit was a wish to express gratitude to author of an article I found on Steemit , which article was very enlightening for me. 

( the article was not about Steemit, if it matters)

I saw the message "authors get paid when people like you upvote their post " and was  tempted to sign in right away and upvote.

Well, my impression was that since I got my complimentarmy ~ 5 bucks or something, the updated author would also get something like 1 $ from my upvote.

As we all know now, that is not the case.

So, the message should rather be:

 "authors get paid when you upvote their post - but not in case you are just a  newbie"  

Well, I know it is made by design. It is also logical. Still I feel it would make sense to give the newbies some voting power too.

So, the message could be like :

" Mind your upvote . Your upvote matters.

For your first upvote author get 1$ extra tip from Steemit, for the second 0.5 $, for the third 0.1$ "

This would encourage a newbie to start his curators work mindfully. And things mindfully started have all the chance to be mindfully continued as well. 

Another reason is, I keep on observing cases when newbies keep on updating old articles, which they found enlightening and helpful, but these articles were not paid well when published. Well, in most cases some latest articles of these authors were recognized by the community with proper payouts. Still,I think it would be fair that these old articles could get some bonus payments.

Yes, people might start to upvote trash. But make an experiment. 

Isn't Steemit a great social experiment anyway?

Announce Week of Mindful Voting. Check the results. Announce : People,you are upvoting trash, we are not going to sponsor it anymore - if that going to be the case.
