GIVE AND TAKE - Why steemit works like real life.steemCreated with Sketch.

Everybody wants to get a piece of the cake

Since the beginning of time, markets have been dynamic fabrics determined by demand and supply. Entering a promising market right from the start means saving a huge piece of the cake in an appropriate moment. The challenge consists in well maintaining that sweet calories bomb as long as you can. Markets have limits, defined by the power of their customers. So they are dynamic in a certain way as well as expandable. There may be some who think that once the cake is divided, the only way to get some more (= grow) is stealing from the plate of the person sitting next to you. I don´t think so!

Our common objective should be the growth of the network. There is no successful business without any teamwork. Obviously we are a group of lone fighters, since there is no relationship between us but the network. But that´s the key! Without steemit we would be some unknown writers, texters, bloggers or even journalists. There is no communication flow without its medium, no information without its channel.

The time is now, steemers! Get your piece of that delicious digital cake well saved as long as its fresh and warm :-) First of all make sure you know well your market and the ones who are already doing good business in it. You cannot knock on the door, walk in, say 'hello' and that´s it. Why might others reward you for that little 'hello'?

Same rules and same chances for everybody! No matter where you are from, no matter where you might end up, now you are here. And that´s the first step of a wonderful journey. There is no success without failure, no growth without struggle, no idea without doubt.

Just try. The rest is up to them.

Give & take

I was wondering why my recent articles received much more interest than my first ones. From my point of view there is no difference in quantity neither quality comparing them with each other. But indeed there is something which made a difference: my activity inside and around the network.

Steemit is like real life. You get what you deserve. In business you don´t. In business you get what you negotiate.

Steemers pay for your values - both material and personal values. On one hand the audience will reward you for your input (objectively), and on the other hand they will upvote the "vitamin b" (subjectively). The networks pushes characters. It rewards the ones who stand out, who shout out loud, who have an opinion, who are well intregrated and the ones who spread 'the idea'.

Steemit rewards opinions. Steemit rewards personalities. Steemit rewards networkers.

Network means "work" and exchange means "change"

Have you ever maintained a DIAlog just listening or just talking? Have you ever EXchanged any information without delivering something from your side? Have you ever had an interested audience without being a well listener?

Steemit is like a good working relationship. Silence doesn´t lead to anything. Communication is the key.  Working on something means being creative and inspiring to others and receiving creativity from and being inspired by others. Working also means having an objective and ours is: the healthy growth of the community. Somebody recently posted a comment below one of my articles: 'only minnows are dying'. Well actually this is also one of the natural processes of life. Only the brave will survive, the ones who work hard on understanding how everything works, how they can constantly improve theirselves and how they can save their adequate piece of the cake.

Let´s get that cake bigger, steemers! Vote what you like, share ideas you agree with, reward whatever makes you feel good, what surprises you or tells you something new. The world is big and the people who live in it are incredibly diverse - so their stories are.

Don´t focus on the money

Wise words, these ones.

Thank you for your comment and upvote, @steemonme! Good day and steem on :-)

Easy for the guy making $0.90 from his post to say!

Oh wow, thank you for your kind words and support! Much appreciated @macksby! Loved your poem "That girl" by the way :-) Let´s steem on!

Great advice. The money here can be very distracting, but chase the dream instead!

Thanks for your upvote @jimitations! Much appreciated. I don´t think we should completely forget about the money (it´s a nice motivation), but not focus too much.

'only minnows are dying'...I would expect that the bulk of these minnows were the ones that jumped on and expected immediate wealth.

Considering that Steem prices are dropping, I can see why folks are getting nervous about the platform, but at the same time...we are still in Beta.

Good read, thanks!

Thank you, @stevescoins! Totally agree. There is no success without patience and consistency.

Thank you very much! :-)
