You don't have to look far back in time to see how Social Media has evolved and soon this will change significantly as more and more decided to move to a less dictated and more Decentralised Social Media Platform.

Centralised Platforms are all about making profit and lining the pockets of the Shareholders with total disregard to the users completely.
Steemit is the total opposite and the first Decentralised Social Media Platform of it's kind where in essence the Users are the Shareholders.
Rewarding the Content Creator for their work surely is more rewarding than lining the pockets of the Shareholders of Centralised Platform Sites.
Mainstream Media vs Social Media
You do not have to look far for a story that talks about the rise of Fake News and as the issue of Fake News becomes more prominent more and more people will opt for Social Media as oppose to Mainstream Media as their first choice of news.
It is all about trust and whether people trust the Mainstream Media over Social Media which has the benefit of Alternative Media at the heart of it's news feeds. A real source of Independent News.
Times are changing and we are witnessing the first signs of this mass migration towards this Independent News choice..!!
STEEMIT
Steemit has positioned itself perfectly to take up this slack of despondent and disheartened breed of Social Media Users that are being discouraged as more Fake News is being pimped on Social Media.
It just needs patience and the early Pioneer Users of Steemit can enjoy the rewards of being a select few to join the Platform while still in it's infancy.
Times are changing, and they are changing fast.
You just have to look back in the rear view mirror to get a very clear vision of what lies ahead..!!

Does not come as a surprise Mike. I can see China taking the lead in the adoption of Blockchain as the West drowns in bureaucracy. The biggest problem is if China accelerates the roll out of Blockchain way ahead of the West. That would be a utter disaster. Stephen
