As the topic of Fake News continues to dominate the Mainstream Media headlines, Social Media is continuing to build strength as the battle for the TRUTH witnesses a Tectonic Shift from Mainstream back into the hands of individuals.
The sheer brute force and enormous power of Blockchain Technology when applied to Social Media has not even scratched the service and it is this Technological Revolution that is set to change the course of HISTORY..!!
In one simple chart you only have to look back to the mid 1990's to see exactly when this shift began.
It has only been in the last 8 years with the advances in Technology and the birth of Cryptography and Blockchain Technology that this shift has had a major impact.
Most people are totally unaware of the disruptive potential of a environment where Social Media is built around a Digital Distributed Ledger and thus totally DECENTRALISED..!!
As you can see by the presentation the timing of STEEMIT to the market is impeccable and one that most have still yet to fully appreciate.
In the future ALL news feeds will be on the BLOCKCHAIN and this is set to cause huge a realignment of beliefs as the real TRUTH is discovered.
It will not only be future news events that will be reported on the BLOCKCHAIN but passed events no matter how horrific and disturbing will be revisited to find the TRUTH.
Cryptography and Blockchain Technology is set to dominate News Reporting in the future and how people adjust to this new reality will be up to the individual.
Humanity is about to face one of its most challenging times not witnessed in over a Century and one that will reshape the path of generations for decades to come.

If steemit, could be the instrument to be bring the actual truth to the majority of the population, that would be the greatest accomplishment. The truth is so important in order for humanity to free itself from the domination of psychopathic manipulators and warmongers.
A Decentralised Digital Distributed Ledger is one thing but applying this technology to Social Media is a powerful piece of kit. I have said it before and will say it again. If Steemit does what I think it will do and I am confident that I am right, then Dan and Ned are pure geniuses..!! Stephen

Stephen, my concern with any platform is the disinformation, a large time investment is required to weed through all the information and try to decipher truth, 1/2 truths and total garbage, and many existing platforms are full of the latter IMO. My understanding is that with block chain this data cannot be removed, which would be true for all of the above, am I missing something here?
Digital Distributed Ledger Technology and Cryptography is all about verification, validation and valuation by consensus by crunching huge amounts of digital data including: text, audio, visual and imagery no matter how large or small the data is. This is a MASSIVE Technology Revolution when applied to Social Media. The storing and distribution is secondary, the validation is the key..!! Stephen
